I purchased three of these so that I could get whole-house audio. One is plugged into the living room stereo, one the kids' stereo, and one is attached to a portable speaker (for going outside or wherever). Audio sync is very good and the Google Home app makes setting up one or more groups easy. I did have a little trouble setting up the first one because it started updating as soon as it got on the network. There's no documentation to warn you that the flashing yellow light indicates an update, so I thought something was wrong. BE PATIENT. Plug it in, configure it, and then just wait. Eventually it will update, the light will turn white, and you'll be good to go. I did this with the second and third and all is well.

I bought the Google Chromecast Audio as a better option to my bluetooth (add on dongle) for my outdoor stereo. Mainly so my friends could "cast" music from their phones without me disconnecting my BT and them having to connect theirs. As long as you have a good wifi connection to wherever you are planning on using this device you will be good to go. A side benefit is when your phone rings the music is not completely cut off like BT. It just automatically turns down a bit so you can answer the call. You can also walk away and take the call without stopping the music. Overall it is a very cool device and I know I have a lot more to learn about it. Highly recommend.

This is a great device for use with Google Home Assistant. The only problem is that my (new-ish) Denon receiver doesn't have the right 3.5mm aux input. I bought an adapter for an optical input, but that has not worked. So, I am left using a 3.5mm to RCA cable (another purchase). It's not ideal, but it works.

I'm looking forward to when it can sync between speakers but for now it does exactly what I want. My only concern is that it runs a little hot if you leave it plugged in all the time. FYI- this will not play the audio from youtube videos.

While turning one speaker into an internet-connect speaker is cool, turning several speakers into a whole-house audio system is even cooler. Since my husband and I frequently host parties at our house, the ability to have synchronized audio playing across the entire house is amazing. That's on top of the fact that because Google Cast uses wifi and not a short-range frequency like Bluetooth, my phone doesn't have to be near all the Chromecast Audios. Bonus tip: Setup an audio group of all the Chromecast Audio(s) and Google Home(s) that you have, then tell Google Home to "play today's pop hits on the whole house". No phone required.

Finally... I can stream music to my surround sound without having to have the TV on. CastTab with the original chromcast would "work" but it was choppy when I would use it while working with needy software. This solves it all. Only downfall, doesn't work with my Tab 2 but it works great with my G4.

I have this plugged into the aux port on my radio at work. It's nice to have quick access to my Spotify and play music in the background. I do occasionally have connectivity issues and have to restart the device or my phone to get it to work which is frustrating. This has only happened occasionally though.

I love the Chromecast Audio! I purchased 3 for my apartment. They sync exact to time. It even works great synced with my Google Home. The price is much more affordable than SONOS.

Got the Chromecast audio for my Vizio sound bar since I got a Google Home and I wanted to be able to stream music to the sound bar. It works flawlessly so far, definitely worth it.

Google chromecast does a good job of streaming content to the tv. I have several on different tvs the only disappointment is the inability to stream certain things from apple ios.

I use the Chromecast to setup a while house audio system. The product has worked flawlessly and was very easy to setup. The sound quality of very good and works great with Spotify.

Easy to setup. Sound quality is excellent. Pairs without incident. The only issue is the connected and disconnected sounds are really loud at seemingly full volume. It's much louder than the music playing.

This a really great device and it works as advertised.

The first one I bought did not work out of the box so I exchanged it for another one. Easy to hook up and operate sounds good and works better than Bluetooth. Can not give it 5 stars yet.

Google - Chromecast Audio - Black - has nice audio quality. I have it connected to my Google Home - Chromecast Audio was very easy to setup and very easy to cast to. This combination will be wonderful.

I wanted to have something that could replace hooking my phone or tablet to speakers. Chromecast Audio does just that. It'd perfect when you don't want to have your TV screen on while listening music. While connected be sure not to have too many walls between your device and Chromecast Audio. It tends to drop the connection.

Quick setup, easily view all movie and music apps, podcasts that can cast, to your TV. Have not experienced any lag in streaming any movies. Works well with Google Home app.

Nobody knows about this product and it is awesome! Instead of spending more on the regular chromecast to hook to tv just hook this to a stereo and it runs in sync with all the other home pods and chromecasts so i have the google home, google mini, chromecast (on tv stereo), chromecast(on bedroom stereo), chromecast audio(for deck stereo, chromecast audio (for basement), chromecast audio for bluetooth speaker that i play all from my phone or tablet when having a party so everywhere you go its all the same music!!!! And way cheaper than sonos or other options!
