This is a great addition to an older stereo or speaker. I used to have several airplay speakers and those systems would always cut out. I haven't had that with this as much. I feel this a superior system and it is great that you can create groups of speakers and connect them to other Google Home and Google Home Mini's. Value wise since you can buy a chromecast for your TV for the same price. I feel the best landing spot would be around $25. I also feel like Google should be able to find a way to sync audio from a video cast to a chromecast as well. That would give a huge bonus to this device.

This thing works nearly flawlessly. Excellent Wi-Fi reception and recognizable to all my dlna sharing apps! It's airplay for Android!

I was looking for a cheap, simple solution to play my cloud based music on my home stereo, Google ChromeCast Audio was the answer! Simple setup, works with analog as well as digital audio connections, all controlled from smartphone, using the Google Play app. I've since purchased 3 of these devices and I love that you can create groups and have the same music playing on all three (think whole house music synced together) or have 3 different types of music playing throughout the house. This was the perfect solution at a fraction of the cost of similar whole home systems.

I use this for my house in different Zones and it works like a charm. You can sync or add more Chromacast Audio with a click away. Audio quality is amazing and you can use optical.

Very easy to setup and works great with pandora! I plugged into my stereo and my computer found it and broadcast right away. Could not work better.

I'm glad they finally came out with something like this. I have an older receiver that doesn't have a bluetooth. This thing works perfect for my needs. Now I can just lay in bed and chromecast my audio right from my phone and get my perfect playlist going.

I use this to stream music from Google Play to a speaker system. For some reason whenever I start playing from the app, it will forget what I'm doing so if I want to change songs or do something else, I have to resync it to the Chromecast and then try to get back to what I was doing.

The Chromecast audio is perfect and does exactly what is is supposed to do - reliably play music through a set of speakers over wifi. My only issue is that I have made the jump to iOS and started using Apple Music. Sadly, now this device is worthless to me.

I'm not really a fan of google or android but I had a need to stream audio from my iPhone to a traditional stereo receiver that is used for audio only. My normal solution would be to use Airplay to an Apple TV but that wasn't going to work here. For the money, this device can't be beat. It's small and easy to connect. Setup only requires using the google home app to get it on your wireless network and you are off and streaming. Because it streams on wifi you can still make and receive calls without stopping the music. I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Purchase for my camper because it doesn't have a Bluetooth stereo. We use it to listen to some tunes around the campfire I love the Google Chrome products and that they make a super easy to stream from my phone would give it 10 Stars.

Solid audio quality. It is a great device in the fact that it does what is needed and for a fairly cheap price.

Just like Chromecast for TV, Chromecast Audio lets you 'cast' audio to a stereo or speaker input. It's easy to set up and quick to use. The only negative, and this may be a Spotify limitation, is when using the Spotify desktop app, it doesn't detect the Chromecast Audio automatically. The mobile app does. The Spotify web player does as well, so you can 'jump start' it from your phone or browser, and then use the desktop app to control music accordingly. Spotify shortcoming - not Chromecast Audio.

I have a Samsung flat panel I put in my daughter's room and instead of paying AT&T for another receiver my daughter streams from her phone to the t.v.. Setup was a breeze and the interface is intuitive. A great, low cost solution.

I had one of this before. Having read on reviews and the ability to multicast from a single device, I purchased 3 more. Together with Google Home, These make a very good Whole House Music. Casting music in my garage (Onkyo receiver), living room (Pioneer A/V with 5.1 Energy speakers) , loft (Yamaha YSP 2500 sound bar), and master's bed (Vizio Soundbar). Streaming signal is not compromised since it uses WiFi. Unlike bluetooth where you are tied up with the distance limit. At $25 each (on sale at bestbuy) it's my poor man's Sonos.

You might want to snatch them up while they are still at this price. It is totally worth it! It provided me with all of what I wanted for every set of speakers for every room in my house (7 rooms). It was even compatible with a Toslink to optical cable, optical switch, and Airfoil so I could utilize parts of my Sonos Soundbar that I was not able to do before I purchased this. My wife was extremely happy with this purchase. Also, there is no lag time between rooms when every room is playing!

I bought this thinking I could stream my audio easily to anything just about while I did stream and was easy to set up it wasn't what I thought it was intended for

Let's me play pandora on any speaker. I just wish Apple would let me play my music on it. I don't know why Apple thinks they should be able to stop me from using music I bought on cd's how I want... so just use Google music.
