I bought a pair and hooked them up to Lepage LP-2020A+ amps ($25), and hooked it up to my good old speakers in two different locations. = Instant multi room system. For streaming local media there's localcast app on play store.

Used this to add a speaker to my smart home network. Combined this with a google home mini so I can play my music on my big home theater system instead of trying to listen to it on the smaller mini speaker.

Don't waste your money on Sonos or other more expensive systems. Just get a chromecast for each room. Plug it into some speakers. Then you're good to go for much less money. Wifi setup on these has been super easy on all of my phones. Audio quality is good. Digital oiutput is available if you think you have a better DAC. So many apps support this. I think only the most trapped apple consumers (only have iPhone and only use Apple Music) will have problems using it.

I have for years a great patio speaker with great sound, this chromecast audio gave him a second life because he is now connected to my network of google home, you put a name to the device and you order google to put music there and vuala !! you do not need even the cell phone only in which speaker you want to listen and what singer or station you want to hear. I think the utility is specific in some cases because sometimes you have to buy a Google home to interact with it and not just an audio player.

This is a really easy to use and it turned my old speakers into really useful gadgets. Sound quality sounds good enough.

This is our second Chromecast Audio device. We are putting it on a receiver in the garage that powers our patio speakers. It is a great way to get streaming audio content without having to invest in a brand new receiver.

I had the first gen Chromecast...it had its' initial struggles, but got really great. This new generation of Chromecast and Chromecast Audio are even better. I really like the high res audio ability of Chromecast Audio using the mini-optical to optical cable as the input to the A/V Receiver. Google Music works great, so a win-win. Still compressed digital audio but with the optical cable you get the best res that Google offers. The family uses it all the time and it works flawlessly.

This is not very expensive and works perfectly. It works much better than Bluetooth to stream music. The only thing I wished is the chromecast app had an alarm function. But I cant fault the chrome cast audio for that.

We purchased this to use in our kitchen to have streaming music and love it. It has a few quirks when using with our Iphones but overall it works great with Pandora. You have to be within about 10 feet of the device to get our Iphones to control the volume. You the turn the music on and off anywhere in the house. We plan on adding a few more in the future throughout the house. One thing I do wish it was capable of doing it syncing with my Chromecast on the TV. Overall good product.

This works exactly as advertised. I bought 3 to use with my Bluetooth speaks and Google Home. I give surround sound when you don't have it. This would easily plug into any speak or receive to allow you to stream to it. Setup was simple with the Google Home app (You use this app whether you have Google Home or not). I plugged it in, opened the app and it had already found that there was a new device. I chose to set it up, it did an update and was ready to use in less than 2 minutes.

Very easy to set up and to use, but it's revolutionary how music can be heard throughout the whole house in sync now.

I bought this Chromecast Audio to use with an older system that had great sound, but lacked many of the feature like Bluetooth streaming. It was the perfect option to complete my search. I may have to buy another.

I have 3 of these that I group together for simultaneous whole-house audio. Quality and ease of use is great.

Wither you got a banging audio system or not this is a must. Easily stream your music from Andriod or IOS to this little baby and fill your home with some sweet audio from your mobile device. If you already have google home downloaded its simple as 1 2 3 to add this, if you dont have google home down load that baby and in no time you'll be listening to your favorite with this amazing little device. So easy a cave man can do it!!

Not much to say here, just like the video version. One disappointment is the lack of app support as of yet. Sirius XM app does not cast yet and the Spotify will only cast if you have premium. Be aware, if purchasing for Spotify casting.

I had an older receiver that I thought I was going to have to replace since it was from the 90's. I hooked the chrome cast up and now I can play music throughout my home from my phone. It's like I am my own DJ.

Long-time Apple Airplay user turned Android Chromecast. Works as well as Apple Airplay but for Android owners. Had to switch my Apple iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S8 because of work. No worries.

I am working in audio and video busines for the years.Before Chromecast Audio streamer you couldn't find anithing closer for that price.For the price of $35 I got wery good product with exelent sound quality .
