Does exactly what it describes and is super easy to set up. Just don't miss the "high quality" toggle that's buried in settings as it defaults to a super compressed, low-fi sound. You shouldn't expect audiophile quality sound for the price, but it's definitely passable with the "high quality" setting enabled.

It works perfect, no probems at all. I have it connected to the aux jack on my Bluetooth speaker. The sound is much better using the Chromecast instead of Bluetooth. The Chromecast does not have a battery, so it must be connect to a USB power source when used. It's a great, inexpensive, little device.

Bought this during bf. it is useful for someone who have old speakers that doesn’t feature a wireless cilonnection function.

I have an old surround sound system and wanted to play Spotify on my speakers. I bought this jewel and voila! The only thing I had to buy in addition was the optical audio adapter because I don't have an auxiliary port in my receiver. This works perfect with connecting to my Android phone and streaming Spotify.

Wouldn't recommend to another person, due to the fact that both the Chromecast and Audio are very similar packaging and not clearly marked

Streaming quality is very good. Connected this device to bose Solo 15 speaker and works perfect.

The product works the exact way it says it would and is great for people who have speakers that don't have Bluetooth.

Installation was quick and easy. My phone linked up pretty quickly after I installed the Google cast app. The only issue I have is that occassionally the phone will lose sync with the Chromecast Audio. Not sure if it's a phone issue or Chromecast issue. But, it's annoying.

I never even knew a device like this existed until I stumbled upon a YouTube video. The ability to use multiple of these to stream music through is awesome and so much cheaper than Sonos and you can use your existing speakers. I plan on buying two more as a gift for Father's day. Highly recommended.

I have multiple chromecasts. I love them all and they work great within the home and with the google home. They are also great for utilizing old speakers and making them wireless. With the chromecast audio they feature sync so you can have synced audio in every room of your house if you desired.

Just bought it along with chorme cast but not using it regularly as i already have bluetooth option enable to my current audio system.

Enabled full dynamic range and paired with tosink cable to my onkio receiver, couldn't be happier with the output!

Works better than bluetooth and syncing various speakers around the house. Easy to set up as well.

at first, i was hesitant to buy one of these because i have a bluetooth adapter already. but the bluetooth always gets disconnected and not so good sound quality. since i owned a google chromecast video, i might as well try the audio version. and boy, i was not disappointed. the sound quality is awesome.

I bought this to be able to cast from my Google Home to my surround sound. I sounds better than Bluetooth but not as nice as expected since it is made specifically for audio. Perhaps its a settings thing, but overall I am pleased. It does feel cheap and is rather small; perhaps it would sound better with an optical cable.

After plugging it in and downloading the app I was streaming music. I was even able to talk my wife through set up over a text message conversation and the hardest part was remembering my wifi password. The audio quality sounds good to me. I definitely use this more than my video streaming chromecast.

Super easy to setup - With Chromecast Audio we are able to utilize old sets of speakers we had stored away to cast music in rooms around the house. This has been great for playing music for the kids while they play in different parts of the house. Love it. Will def buy more of them.

I used this to cast through my home theatre stereo. Works great and I would definitely recommend.
