this is a great, simple and effective way to wire your whole house with wireless audio!

great way to cast high resolution audio to your stereo system. controlled via phone or tablet. easy to use. haven't tried casting from my browser yet, but seems to be relatively straight forward. my audiophile system has been brought into the 21st century!

This is my second one. This is a great device. Google makes great products.

Sad that Google is discontinuing one of its best products ever. If you value good sound, this is the affordable way to go. Just plug it into your AV receiver with an optical cable. It can even handle Hi Res files and streams.

I am using the Chromecast Audio to connect to an older Bang and Olufsen Speaker that is somewhat outdated with technology but sounds great. Adding this chromecast audio has brought it back to life. Very happy with this purchase.

I was introduced to the Chromecast Audio by David Pogue's review on Yahoo Tech. When he was with the NY Times I found him to be very realistic and unswayed by all the tech hype. I should have read the review closer and checked some comments. The thing works, but it's clunky. The sound quality is only so-so, and it's not iPhone friendly. Ah, well, it was cheap.

The Chromecast Audio lets me stream Spotify or my computer to an older Marantz amp. I love that Google created this solution for a problem I was having. Sad to see Google discontinue support for Chromecast Audio though!

Best device for audio streaming. I would have preferred both audio and video streaming from one device.

Had an old Bose Wave Radio (maybe 10-years old) which had a headphone jack, so i plugged this gadget into the headphone jack, and wham, I can stream from any phone/tablet in the house direct to this radio which was mostly going unused, sounds excellent.

this is the first chromecast audio iteration. so far it only supports active speaker (not passive ones)

We bought Chromecast Audio for our older media set and ever since have been very happy. Our dilemma was how to synchronize sound upstairs and downstairs with minimum investment. Chromecast Aufion is a great device. It's easy to use and easy to connect.

I have used the Chromecast for video and figured that this would be great for audio.

If you are an Android user, have a Google Home, or subscribe to Google Play, you absolutely need this device. If makes listening to music throughout the day easy without have to have a full computer on or any one of the other annoying solutions.

I have several Bluetooth speakers around the house and I can listen to the same music on all of them. I have one on each of them and they a link up together, put Pandora on and I can listen throughout the house. Cheaper than buying Sonora speakers.

The Chromecast and Chromecast audio are both very easy to set up and using them becomes second nature. If you want to get music in multiple rooms at once this is the cheapest and easiest way to do so. But you won't feel like it's a "cheap" experience.

Great product, would recommend buying this for home automation system.

Chrome Cast Audio extends Google Play music to any audio amplifier/speakers in any room in the house. It was easy to install and easy to use on a PC and an Android phone. If you want to listen to your own music, you can upload up to 50,000 songs to Google.

Got 3 chromecast audio and for around 100 bucks and am much happy about it compared to what I would have paid for comparable sonos systems, thousands of dollars. And while playing all 3 at once, they are all in sync, sounds awesome. Chromecast is Awesome!!!
