The Chromecast Audio Is Great For Multi Room Streaming

Excellent & easy to use. I love the Google products!!

Great Google Product, but not so friendly with apps outside of Google.

The Chrome cast is a very useful device to stream videos, movies and music to our smart TV. We get a lot of use out of this, unlike any other impulse purchase - this one is definitely a useful one.

I like the ease of connection to my stereo. The volume control works intermittently. The program does not close your streaming channel when you disconnect Chromecast. Not being able to play iTunes is a drag. Is there a work around?

When the Chromecast hooks up to your wifi, it works great. I first used it on the stereo in my garage, and it was awesome listening to Spotify when I was outside working on projects. The wireless signal out there is usually sufficient for my phone, but I began having issues getting connected with the ChromeCast. I moved it inside, thinking that it was possibly too warm for it, but I'm having the same issues with it there, as well. It might possibly be an issue with my wireless router, but none of my other devices seem to have any issues. I think it's just one drawback of having such a small unit. It's convenient, but proximity to the network is crucial. If you can get it in the right location, I think you'll be happy.

It works great. I just wish you could stream audio from youtube to it?

I have 4 of these connected in my house: living room entertainment center, office computer speakers, line-in to a bluetooth speaker in the bedroom and a cheap amp to some outdoor speakers. Using speakers that were already in my house, I now have full house audio for a $100 investment!!! I've admired Sonos for about 10 years now, but couldn't justify the cost of buying all their speakers. Chromecast Audio provides full control over what speakers are in what groups and the volume they play at. I've grouped adjacent rooms, whole house, etc. and its great to walk from room to room and not detect any major delay in the audio. My only gripe is that I wished this functionality worked with my video Chromecast.

I was happy with how easy this was to setup and connect to my speaker. It showed up in Spotify and was easy to play music to. However the audio cable was low quality and gave me problems with crackling.

I have owned numerous Chromecast devices for my televisions and now own two Chromecast Audio devices. They work well with my Android devices and work exceptionally well with Google Home device and app.

We have 6 of these units in our house and it's like having central heat, A/C, or plumbing - but it's central music! It is wonderful to go room-to-room and the same music is playing, especially when entertaining. I thought that would only be possible with wires, but this is just as good a sound without the work and clutter. Bluetooth is not the same thing. Comparing wi-fi and bluetooth is like comparing CDs and FM radio. Buffering and complete shutdowns occur a little too often, but that could be a function of my wi-fi signal. I love having control over what is playing, how loud it is and where it is playing all from my phone or PC! I highly recommend Chromecast Audio!

Chromecast is perfect for its intended use. It sets up easily and performs flawlessly. If you have an amp and a set of speakers, this is all you need to stream your music and control it from your phone.

Purchased to control my Bose Mini Sound-link with my Google Home Hub. Now I have Spotify Music through my Google Home, Home Hub and Bose Mini Sound-link controlled with my iPad.

Bought a bunch for Christmas and everyone loved them

This and my Chromecast ultra are truly the most connect friendly devices I have used. I wish more devices had Chromecast built in. Always excited to see this evolve with every update/added feature.

I have been using the Chromecast Audio on some old computer speakers and it has been working very well. There are a few times when the music just stops but that may be more of a Spotify issue than a problem with the Chromecast.
