Works as a GREAT substitute if your speaker system does not support wireless/streaming capabilities. The only CON in my opinion is that it does not feature bluetooth connection, only wi-fi.

We use this to deliver wireless sound from our Google Home to our Bluetooth speaker. This was a simple solution to Google Home not having audio out connector.

I use this to play music over our sound system at the gym. Works over wifi, so you can be anywhere as long as you're on the same wifi network. Worth the money.

Great for casting my music from my phone. I have a lot of older equipment I refuse to get rid of. This make it easy for me to to cast my mp3s from my phone. Love it and use it a lot!

Sounds better than a Bluetooth on my Nakamichi receiver. But when casting from a PC lip sync was off. Still great for Spotify though. Worth $15 sale price easy.

Love everything about it except the limitations on what can be casted from your phone/tablet/computer. Bluetooth has no limitations other than distance and possibly sound quality.

Hooked to stereo providing sound to pool area. Nice to be able to cast Spotify without running down phone batteries. Much better than bluetooth.

I have four google minis and one Chromecast audio that I plug into my Bose speaker and it sounds awesome Grouped together in all my rooms.

If you have speakers already around the house you want to make them wireless the most simple and affordable way to to with Chromecast audio

works great. Best part is linking them together for multi room audio. Not as fancy as full blown wireless audio systems, but it gets the job done. Easy setup

This is A simple to use device, just plug it in and use your smart device to control. I use it on my television.

I have five of these and with Google Play Music and the Google Home App I can have music in multiple rooms without running wires. Love these.

Its a little tricky to setup. But once you have done it, you know have an audio source that is just as good as any sonos speaker. And you can group other chrome audio sources.

I purchased this to create a multi room audio system with a system I already had and wanted to do it in a hurry. The setup was easy and worked like a charm.
