Great device to wireless stream my music from the computer to the home stereo. Sound quality much better than Bluetooth not to mention better speakers.

I like this because it allows me to use my own speakers to stream music to. I also don't have to keep the app open to keep music playing, I love that.

Great for streaming music from your phone or tablet, but not good to pair with a chrome cast for surround sound capabilities . If it is.. I haven't figured it out yet.

These are great little accessories to have. I have 4 linked together for whole-home audio without spending a mint on Sonos equipment. They're fantastic!

I have a very old sound system in our house. This gadget was very easy to link the old system and works great with my Google Home.

This dongle works well and allows my older Denon receiver to work with my Sony speakers wirelessly linked via ChromeCast that's already built-in to them, to stream music wirelessly. You will need to adjust the audio lag using Google's app so that your receiver's audio is in sync with your other wireless speakers. ChromeCast does not work with audio from a video source (there is a network lag and the dialog will be delayed and out-of-sync) but it works well for music. The shape is a bit odd but it's behind my receiver and not out in the open so the form-factor doesn't really matter for my application.

Inexpensive way to connect audio throughout the house as a wireless system. Having issues with Google Cast disconnecting but until I research, I believe is a router issue.

Bought this to cast music from my Google Home device. Easy to set up and works perfectly. Now I can play music on my sound bar with voice commands.

Casting is easier than thought. All apps reside on phone or tablet. Not as easy as a Fire Stick but it is cheaper. I have Android so it works flawlessly for me.

The Chromecast Audio sounds a lot better than using bluetooth. This is especially useful if you have an amp that accepts TOSlink

I have several chromecast TV devices and wanted the same for audio...Chromecast audio works just like the Chromecast TV. With my chromecast TV instead of using the power cable i can plug it into a USB port on my TV and thats what powers it, unfortunatley the speaker Im using cant power the chromecast audio OR chromecast audio doesnt self power like the chromecast TV can, so if i go outside with my portable speaker i have to plug the chromecast audio into a power outlet to run it....again Im not sure that chromecast audio cant power itself or my speaker just wont power it...other than that it rocks!

Works as advertised, enables me to cast my Napster to multiple rooms. I will be buying more to cover the whole house. Installation is a snap.

I wasn't even aware they had a Chromecast audio - this works perfectly if you want to turn anything into a wireless, mobile controlled system.

I originally got this just jo I can play music from my phone wirelessly & it works great . Only downside, Not Apple Music compatible. I should have found that out sooner.
