Works great. The only complaint I have is. I wish more music apps would work on it. I heart won't let you stream certain stations on it or tunein either. Sounds good through your smart phone. I have both chrome devices. I use it on my a/v receiver using a opt cable.

Pretty easy to use. Some issues here and there, but I would be suprised if the they were caused by my phone or router. Lame that google music requires everything to be on the clould and Spotify only works with premium subscription. I have subscription to Pandora, so not sure if free version works. Can't wait for multi cast functionality.

It's nice to be able to set this up and walk around the house with my phone in my pocket and be able to control the music! Even works with the weak wifi signal outside in the back yard. Only thing is it needs to be plugged into wall, so using it with portable speakers is a problem unless there's an outlet near by or a long 3.5mm cable.

Easily allowed us to use the whole house speaker system in our new house to play music from nearly any online site/music station. Made the holidays twice as happy here! Sound is crisp and phonograph-like. We couldn't be happier with this purchase; what value for the money paid! We LOVE this product!!

As easy to use as a google chromecast. Works great with Google Assistant and all google and most audio services on both android and ios, plus chrome browser. At this price it’s a no brained to make your old receiver, radio, or anything with a 3.5 mm input a smart device.

This is a terrific item to use in place of Bluetooth connection or having to spend for a WiFi enabled stereo receiver. Better sound quality than with Bluetooth and in early 2016 there will be a software upgrade allowing music stored on your source device to be cast to the receiver.

Cast almost any music from your mobile device or computer from any room in your home. I plugged an old set of 2.1 computer speakers into the Chromecast audio and after a quick setup, had music blaring in my kitchen. Turn any speaker system with an AUX jack into a smart system.

If you have one of those old receivers and want to listen to a variety of on line music then buy this. It sounds great specially if you connect it via a toss link cable. I am a music lover and love this little think. I am glad I did not discard my old Sony STR-ES 845 receiver.

Bought 5 of these for whole house audio & it was so easy & hassle free. I stream music from Pandora & YouTube because they're free but be warned that Spotify requires a premium account to stream to these (ridiculous since it's free w other providers but that's Spotify's fault- not this device's). there's also an option to output high quality if you're hooking this up to a home entertainment system as opposed to a mini blue tooth speaker. this'll also help you make use of that old receiver & speaker system laying around that you upgraded from. just set it up in the garage w a chromecast & boom!

I got the Google Chromecast Audio because I wanted to be able to listen to my music or youtube while use my existing powered speakers. The chromecast audio was easy to set up and the music fidelity is good. However, the connection options are limited. For example, unless you have one of the major streaming services, it won't play your music. Even Youtube, another Google product doesn't work with Chromecast audio, which is annoying. Youtube works fine with Chromecast, just not Chromecast Audio. All in all, I like this product, I just hope that the music options increase as time goes on.

Really like this device in that you can use your favorite music app to control your music. I have a nice sound bar / subwoofer with my home theatre system and this i a very very user friendly way to play rhapsody, pandora, tune-in, etc. Sit on couch and listen to my tunes.

I had thought about buying a Sonos system but live in an apartment. This small, simple device is easy to set up and works with my old Altec Lansing Ipod dock that has the old pin connection system. Now I can cast from my laptop, Nexus 7 and Galaxy Phone from google music.

super easy setup & love that it doesn't have to be powered. small & able to hide behind speaker, etc. awesome being able to sync music to 2 different rooms. seems to be a couple weird issues with spotify sometimes not syncing, etc. but may just be me. still working with it.

Already having a Chromecast I was familiar with the setup, the Chromecast Audio is even easier. It seamlessly connects my iPhone to my powerful but old Onkyo stereo. I now have a smart stereo for just $35.

This is a great little product from Google. I have a whole home audio system. Playing music through the included app was limited to music on my phone or through Pandora and some other limited services. Adding this little device to the system now enables me to stream music from my phone through Wi-Fi using almost any service on my phone! I am subscribed to you tube red which gives me unlimited access to Google music as well, and the Chromecast now allows me to stream music and control it from anywhere in my home using my cell phone! Very clear sound. Super easy to set up! Love it.

I bought this for my parents because their main tv still does not have an hdmi input. This allowed them to stream music from my server with no issues and at high quality. Once the multi-room audio is supported I will switch my airplay based system over to chromecast.

Item is great!, can use pandora, spotify, iheart radio and more. Does not disturb or disrupt play back when someone called or notification pops up, since its using wifi and not Bluetooth.

This is a great alternative for someone that wants to get into a system like SONOS, but does not have the money to do so. Great for streaming audio into any room.

I have two of these in a multi-room setup. It allows us to listen to the same music throughout the house. Replaced my old squeezeboxes with these since the squeezeboxes aren't really supported anymore. The chromecasts are so much cheaper and easier to use, too.

This is the just the best invention I have ever seen. I have a great vintage stereo system. Really Rocks! Now I can stream content from my computer, phone, tablet directly to the sound system. Spotify on a Vintage Marantz... Can't be beat!
