Perfect for upgrading an old receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use an older 2.1ch receiver with my audio equipment, and the Chromecast Audio is perfect for a simple "upgrade" to streaming capability. Note that it does not include a 3.5mm to RCA cord - just 3.5mm to 3.5mm. So, to hook it up to an audio receiver, it requires an additional purchase if you don't have one laying around.

Great to upgrade an old stereo

I'm using it with a 80s Grundig sound system (which was a gift from my parents), and now I use it mainly to listen my Spotify's playlists.' It would be nice that a chromecast audio device could pair with a chromecast one (the one with HDMI connection) to stream audio. That's the only drawback.
