Customers commend Chromecast Audio for its ease of use, excellent sound quality, and reasonable price. Many appreciate its seamless streaming capabilities and compatibility with other Google devices. While some users wish for a longer range and a built-in battery, the overwhelmingly positive feedback centers on the device's ease of setup and superior audio performance compared to Bluetooth alternatives. The convenience of using WiFi for audio streaming is also frequently highlighted.

I bought this for a large WIRELESS mobile DJ speaker. Think of a 3 foot tall book shelf speaker powered by a rechargeable internal battery. I take it to the pool for parties, and to the beach that kind of thing. I read the description "Simply plug into your speaker's auxiliary input and connect to your Wi-Fi network." I thought "awesome, basically every where has wi-fi these days I can use this with my speaker any where!" Not really the case. I (probably due to my lack of research) did not realize that this unit requires power. I thought it ran off of the 3.5mm jacks power. This requires a regular wall outlet to power the unit. Unfortunately, that makes my large wireless speaker, much less wireless. However. I do still use the speaker in the house, and when I do it is usually charging, so it is near an outlet for the chrome cast. It works well, I stream youtube or soundcloud directly to the speaker. No feedback or noise on the line. I just wish it didn't need its own independent power.

Bought 3 of these to use with in-ceiling speakers around the house (powered by a Dayton Audio distribution amp) and they've been working great. Much cheaper and better sound than say setting up something like Sonos speakers. Setup was simple using the Google Home app and the ability to group the Chromecasts together for multi-room synchronized audio has worked well. There's connection issues every once in a while but those have been infrequent. I've been using mostly Google Play to cast to these devices, but most apps can sling their audio to them as well. Overall, I'd definitely recommend.

I used it on my Sony home entertainment system. I had to purchase a digital optical cable to connect it, however. It's great to be able to stream music to my entertainment system without my phone being connected. I highly recommend Chromecast products.

This product allows you to use your existing audio equipment and achieve a "Sonos" type experience. Using any music app that supports casting you can cast your music to one or more of these devices and have a whole house experience. If you use more than one Chromecast audio device you can set up groups and cast to any device in the group with one tap. Google Home and Home Mini devices can also be added to a group for music casting. Also each device has its own volume and equalizer all accessible from either the music app or the Google Home app. There is even a provision to compensate for any delay between units (I have not had a delay issue with the 3 Chromecasts and 3 Google Home devices....all six are perfectly synchronized). Google does it again......great technology at a reasonable price.

I have an old radio and got tired of using my phone and wasting my battery listening to music and music getting interrupted when calls or texts came in so now my old radio acts like a Bluetooth speaker and all is well in the world.

I have a number of heos speakers and wanted to gain compatibility with google home, thus I had to purchase this. It works as expected and my speakers gained versatility. Note: Anybody wanting to purchase this for that application must buy one for each speaker.

These are perfect for casting audio to speakers that are too far away from my device I want to cast from. There is a delay in audio that is not noticed when casting music but you can notice if its a video. Great quality otherwise.

This product is great! I used to use a Bluetooth receiver, but its sound sometimes cut out and the quality wasn't great. This sounds great, it never cuts out, and I can control it from anywhere I have Wi-Fi. Also love the multi-room expandability.

I bought this to connect my Sonos to Google Home. I currently, have this to my line in on my Sonos5. And set the line in for autoplay. I named Chromecast Audio as Sonos. So when I issue a command to "play music on my Sonos", it will play thru there to my sonos and when I say stop or skip song it works. If I want to play it throughout all my speakers then I have to pull up the clunky sonos app and group it. Otherwise, it works great.

There have been many ways to stream audio wirelessly, especially with bluetooth receivers that have extended range connection. That said, the chromecast audio did not initially seem like that beneficial a product, considering many home theater amplifier/receivers have bluetooth integration already. What the chromecast audio provides is the ability to stream audio to a stereo system or speaker, without needing to keep the device within range of that device.
Not all pieces of equipment have a 3.5mm input, but there are several adapters available (for very inexpensive costs) to help one connect the chromecast audio. 3.5mm to RCA stereo adapter or 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adapter should work for most setups.
This is great for those that have a dedicated set of speakers and/or receiver/amplifier that is used exclusively for audio during parties.

Great unit for price. Was looking for simple, reasonably high quality method to play music and this works very well. Though someone mentioned difficulty setting up, I had absolutely no problems and had it running in about 5 minutes out of the box (just follow the simple instructions and anyone can do it!). My only negative comment is it runs a little warmer than I expected, but not a problem and note hot to the touch.

I purchased my Chromecast Audio because I was looking for a whole house audio solution that wouldn't break the bank like Sonos. That's exactly what I got. I'm able to use my existing speakers and amplifiers and stream through Chromecast operating everything with my phone. If you want new speakers that you have to plug into the wall for electric to do this, get Sonos and pay a fortune. If you already have great speakers connected to an amp and only want to spend $35, get Chromecast. It's a no-brainer.

I bought this to use in my garage on a 1969 Kenwood receiver. AM mode is not working on the unit and this was the cheapest way to get AM. FM sounds much better than broadcasts. It was easy to install and works with both my droid and IPhone.

Bought this to replace an iPod Touch 1st gen that we use with a Sony S-Link speaker system. Setup was easy with no problems. Ran into a couple of issues on iHeart Radio, but I found out that some of the stations wouldn't play over Chromecast. Otherwise, pretty good.
