    The new design is easier to conceal behind a TV. Especially, one that are mounted on a wall. Also, the addition of the magnet is nice and helps hold the Chromecast up against the TV. I did not have any real issues with the signal when using the first generation Chromecast, but the new one is noticeably stronger and smoother streaming.
