The hdmi-cec is great to allow chromecast to switch inputs on my receiver automatically however for whatever reason when I turn the tv/receiver on it automatically switches the input to chromecast every time I turn the tv on even though I'm not trying to cast anything. This is really annoying.

However, it does not allow you to download any additional apps which I did not like. I ended up taking this back to get an amazon firestick. I was more impressed with that. The google chromecast is easy to install.
