Instead of watching on my laptop, I can use the Chromecast to watch on my big screen TV. Well worth it!

So it's a great device but something has issues streaming because of my internet. Laptop signal is great but this pick up radius is obviously smaller!

This is the second chromecast I have purchased. Tech doesn't get any better than this. Bought 3 for Christmas gifts.

How does Chrome on a tablet not chromecast anything?!? I don't get it. It works well for stuff it does, but Vimeo will only cast from the app, which is annoying.

Real improvement over the last chrome cast. Better product now. Last one died after 14 months. And Google won't help.

I got these chrome cast for $20 each. It is good for the people I bought them for who don't have smart tv's and really don't watch a lot of tv anyways.

i gave it as a gift to senior couple, they can cast videos from ipad to the tv, they love it.

You can stream it from device and close phone or tablet it takes over only down fall app to control cost but not to much

If you typically lean towards Apple, stay away from this. Stick with the Apple tv. This requires a mobile device or pc to use on a tv/tablet/pc. Apple tv requires none.

Works great doesn't drain your phone while streaming. Couple of steps to set it up, fine on home network but won't work in a hotel without making your phone a hotspot

Didn't really know much about it till I used one at my friend's house it was really cool so I went and got me one

Its amazing how we can cast any device a laptop tablet or phone onto the tv. It really questions the need of a smart TV

Easy install and works excellent. Has been used extensively and would certainly recommend to family and friends.

So I got this to watch movies from my phone to T.V... sadly Chromecast always disconnects from my device... I've checked my settings but apparently this has always been an issue with Chromecast... Having to set it up over and over during a movie is not worth the trouble, I end up just finishing whatever I'm watching on my phone instead. It's a hit or miss, sometimes it works half the time it's doesn't.

I love the Chromecast, it works much better than the casting feature on my TV. And being able to control it with voice commands on the Google Home is very cool.

I heard about Chromecast for years. It works very well. Great to be able to stream videos to my tv through wifi.

My smart tv already had access to Netflix, Hulu, amazon. But This product is great if you stream YouTube videos.

I was excited about the Chromecast but ultimately it was a huge disappointment. I had issues with it always lagging/glitching, not turning on properly, disconnecting, and connection errors. I used to run my laptop with an HDMI and I think I'm going to return to that method because I never had as many problems.
