I love Chromecast. It was easy to setup. I can now cast YouTube videos and Netflix movies to my HD tv. Make sure Your TV is at least 5-yr old 1080p

The Google Chromecast has re-written the rules. At $35 it's a 1/3 the price of it's competitors and it's the only one among them that offers cross-platform support. My friend's iPhone, my Android, and your windows computer ALL can play together. It's amazing. So simple. Plus, with the cast from chrome feature, anything that's online can be sent to my TV. Best $35 I've spent this year!

This is a great start for google chrome. They need to add more apps that you can use with it. I thought the iPad or smart phone would be the remote for this product but it is actually just wirelessly streaming it from your device. None the less, it's easy to set up and works great! For the price, I am definitely satisfied.

I bought this to make my tv into a smart tv and I felt it did it's job. Pretty affordable and does the job well.

As a non-tech savvy individual, I was concerned it would be difficult to install this item. It was so easy to install and is very user-friendly.

Purchase a Apple TV and did not work. Someone recommended the Google Chrome and was half the price and works great!

A nice inexpensive way to view the internet on your TV without upgrading to a smart TV. Easy to set up and operate.

Best cheap choice to connect your phone or tablet to your tv. Except some minor software issues it works just fine.

I use it mainly for casting youtube videos on my 55" TV - which makes things nicer to watch than on a tablet. Very quick and easy to set up. The only two issues I see are that sometimes the video will stutter or pause to download, and that the Chromecast doesn't come with a remote control like the Amazon Fire TV stick does. But for $35 (less on sale), it is a great deal.

We had only basic cable, so the TV was not being used at all. Decided to look for products to make the TV smarter. The chromecast won over the similar Amazon and Roku products because of convenience of casting from any device (laptop, phone tablet) on the same network and ability to cast even unsupported content via tabcasting Initially I was worried that the weaker processor and lower memory as compared to amazon's product would lead to stutter in videos but this has not been the case at all even for casting videos by tab casting Best $35 ever spent

I use this daily to stream Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or Youtube videos from both my computer and phone. This makes it really easy to pick something to watch and watch it when you do not have a smart TV. I have one on my main screen and one for in my bedroom. It is simple to play one show, stop it, and play it in a different room right where I left off.

The product is cool and work like a champ. I won't live without it if you are a google guys. All google apps are integrated seamlessly. Best buy.

I picked up this item as an impulse buy and it is awesome. I'm able to easily stream movies and TV shows from apps like Netflix and HBO Go directly from my iPad to my TV. It's very easy to setup out of the box and a great value. This will definitely be a better item as more apps become available to use with the Chromecast.

If the primary function for chromecast is to cast youtube videos on the tv, or mirror some chrome screens it´s ok. If you´re looking for more then I suggest you get a WD live tv, an appletv, or similar because Chromecast does less than I imagined, it´s limited just to chromecast enabled apps: youtube and chrome. For example, if you want to see a movie you´re playing on VLC in your laptop or PC, you cannot stream this content through chromecast to your TV. If you want to mirror your screen and use Chromecast as a media presenter, also you can´t do that, you can just mirror the contents of chrome browser and not in all situations like pages with flash videos. Also, you´re limited by the strenght of the wifi signal reaching the back of your TV. In short, If you want video and audio streaming from a DLNA server, watch movies from different sources, Netflix, watch youtube on your tv (which you can also control and stream from your smartphone) and more AND the convenience of cable connection for stability and image quality, choose the first of the smart boxes I mentioned before.

Low price. Great Value. Works extremely well with access from wireless internet 2 rooms away to Direct TV receiver for access to services needed.

It's 35$ and you can cast anything on your phone to your TV. Device works flawlessly. It's the best thing to happen to TV since Roku. Ditch Cable.

This is seriously the greatest invention ever! I can send anything on my phone to my TV in an instant. I just had to buy a $5 app which was ok. :)

This device is basically a dongle that connects to your HDMI enabled TV and receives media from your PC or phone. You can then "cast" music, pictures or video onto the TV depending on what app you use. There has not been a device that I've used with my TV that has been as significant since the DVD player. Using this brings me one step closer to connecting all my devices on my WiFi network where I could be able to stream media from any of my devices to the TV. It's important to note that you absolutely need a computer of some sort, whether it be a smart phone or PC as the Chromecast could do nothing by itself, you even need to set it up through your smaprt phone (Android and iPhone compatible). In effect, you'll have to explore apps that could be used with this. The most prominent ones are YouTube and Netflix, while there are also others like RealPlayer and Vidoeostream that allow you to cast local videos from your devices. As long as you are somewhat technologically inclined and are willing to explore the array of apps that are Chromecast compatible, then this device would work great! I'd also like to note that this does not count as a separate device to your Netflix account since you will be casting from your phone or PC, so those who have no more room to add another device to their accounts could definitely use this!

Its easy to use and fast, one of the best google products i have bought. You can keep using your cell the whole time a movie or show is playing.
