Bought this so my wife didn't have to hook up her laptop to the TV every time she wanted to view her workout videos she finds online. She can stream videos form her laptop or nook. For a fair price this device offers a nice convenience. We have other means for watching Netflix videos but I can also stream shows from network websites to my TV. Anything you can browse online can be streamed to your TV, which offers many possibilities.

So convenient to have and portable, pretty much makes any tv a smart tv.

I am able to mirror my phone to the TV. Easy to use quick setup. I am satisfied with this product.

Well, you have to try all the apps Andfind out which one works and wirh you tube I had sone issues. for instance, I was streaming a movie and the sound was comming after the caracthers were talking like with some delay signal. And the quality of the video was 720 from my Ipad thats all.However , Still usefull as a secondary device to watch TV videos, and movies.

Purchased for my child. Easy hookup. Considering getting another for my bedroom next time in store.

I have nothing bad to say about ChromeCast I bought a big TV and MADE it SMART with my ChromeCast!!

I would recommend this product to watch from you tv laptop or phone. It great, use it all the time.

Perfect for streaming anything. Makes it so much easier than having to use a PlayStation or Wii.

I had trouble installing this with my 10 year old router. It was a piece of cake with a new router. I probably could have gotten it to work with my old router, but I was beyond my tech support window on the router. For other reasons, I have a n Asus router sitting around, and setup with that was extremely easy. I had no trouble getting it to work with my five year old Samsung tv. Installing and using HBO 2 Go on my ipad was extremely and it works good. That's where I get my biggest use. HBO has all it's series going back to their start. Setting it up to run from my desktop was a little more trouble but nothing I couldn't accomplish with a very little research on the internet. For $35 or so. You can't beat it. My family spent the day after Christmas watching. A whole season of American Horror casting from Chrome on my HP using Amazon Instant Video.

!his device has been mentioned in SO many places I felt that I just couldn't ignore it. Setup is amazingly simple - plug it in, supply it with power, download the appropriate software to a computer on the same network, and it "magically" finds the Chromecast.. Effectively turns virtually any modern TV into a device to easily view online video. On the downside, mirroring a desktop to the TV is under development - it sort of works, but it's not yet ready for prime time. However, I'm confident that with the very smart engineers at Google, if this shortcoming can be solved, they're the people to do it. And again, at the price of a Chromecast, it's just a great toy.
