great for Netflix and Youtube

Looks like you have to pay for news channels though (ABC, FOX, etc) which I will not do. Not many apps available yet but perhaps they will add more in the future.

Mostly love this gadget

While not always perfect, depending upon one's internet bandwidth, it provides another method for getting media from laptop or other device to the big screen TV. I love that it plays in the background and I can continue to do whatever I need to on my laptop while watching a movie.

Good little inexpensive answer to a smart tv

Combined with a wireless keyboard and mouse you can surf the web on your tv. For $35 you get most of the options and apps that a smart tv costs that you would have to pay $200 over the cost of a standard flat screen to get the smart tv version. I like the ability to screen mirror with my phone and tablet.
