Outstanding device

I bought it thinking that I probably wouldn't use it much and it was more of a gimmick. I couldn't have been more wrong and would suddgest it to anyone. For the price you can't go wrong.

Great Concept, Needs Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast sets up easy and you can get started streaming to your TV very quickly. If you are fortunate to stream from one of the few supported websites, like YouTube, then this is great. Works well streaming local content from your PC to the TV. Works poorly when streaming from website to your PC and then casting to your TV. Part of it is because of PC requirements (most laptops are slower than required) and part is the Wireless bandwidth. There are more apps avaialble for a Phone or Tablet than for the PC. But you really should be able to stream from any website directly to Chromecase. In those cases, it works great. It also gets quite hot, so you have to unplug it after you are done.

Easily worth $35!

The only letdown relates to a slight buffer time when loading a show or other program. It is minor but noticeable. If you have money to spend, I might recommend Roku or Apple TV, but I have no regrets with the $35 Chromecast!
