The only negatives I have are that it has to be plugged into an electrical outlet instead of just being powered by the USB port, and it doesn't come with a remote. I understand your device is the remote, but a separate remote would be very handy.

Great for streaming Videos

I looked at the other devices and decided to try out the Chromecast based on reviews and price.Best purchase I have made in a long time, Not only can I stream from my laptop but my tablet and phone (looking foward to more apps being added that can utilize Chromecast) as well. Set up took less than 5 minutes. My Kids & I use it daily...

Installation was easy and now I can easily watch apps like youtube, hulu, Netflix, etc on my tv. Although you can project your computer screen onto the tv, which is great, watching video from the actual web browser isn't that great. As long as you have a compatible app going though, it does the job.
