    I got this to work with my phone. I have a Roku and apple TV and I feel they all work the same just different menus. I find myself using this more than my Roku, and about as much as my apple TV. Main use for this is Netflix.

    For only $35 the chromecast is well worth it. Extremely easy to set up and very easy to use. Just needs more apps supported and access to local media, but should receive updates eventually.

    I use the Chromecast to view videos and movies from both my Nexus Tablet and my laptop onto my television. This basically turns your TV into an Internet-connected TV and allows you to view movies, sports programs, etc. on your TV. I don't have a Hulu or Netflix account but, if I did, the Chromecast would help me watch these on my TV.

    It is a nice device, but at 35 bucks and the limited capability it provides - you may be better served by a 40-50 dollar Roku2. I have had problems in setting it up on multiple devices, e.g. Ipad Gen3 saw it just fine, ipad Gen1 cannot see the chromecast device. I wish they extend the casting capability to a universal media player which can run on all devices. Yes you can use Chrome browser to cast - resulting playback may not be that great. At this time I would recommend it to folks who really care about casting from YouTube and Netflix only...

    Netflix works great on it using my Note 3. They recently added personal video streaming, and seem to keep updating it on a regular basis. I have had connection drops from time to time.
