I had issues setting this up and after getting my second one I nearly gave up, even after going through their customer service and trying everything. Until I tried one last resort and it was enabling a feature in my router option. Basically with the Cisco e2000 router, you need to enable the ability for software to disable wireless. Once you do this and you have all the other options enabled / disabled as instructed in their FAQ, you should be good. Great convenient device, just wish you could do more with it like stream anything you want from your device to the Chromecast. I'm sure someone will figure out a way soon enough.

This thing is so incredible. It's easy to use and just overall awesome. I love being able to hook up all my devices and stream to my tv. Google outdid themselves with this no doubt.

I can show my phone on TV and see all my videos and photos.

I enjoy the product I use it for youtube, facebook, and netflix. The only thing I wish it did was able to display photo albums directly from my computer not having to upload to facebook.

This new technology works as promised, solves a need tech consumers have been asking for, simple plug and play dongle connects wirelessly to broadcast computer screen to TV. Also has several apps that make broadcasting YouTube, Netflix and other programs seamlessly. Only drawback I have found is that secondary pop-up windows do not sync, remains on the main page. This does present problems on certain sites that use pop-up to stream videos.

It is a simple way to watch videos from your mobile or your laptop. But if you only want to use it with a laptop, it would be better if you buy an HDMI cable to connect it directlly to your TV :) If you only want to use it for Youtube and you have a PS3, you don't need this gadget. PS3 has its own app to sync with your smartphone. In any other case, this gadget is the right for you.

Chromecasts rock. I just wish more apps were compatible.

I now own 2 of these, one for each TV in the house. As long as you have WiFi you and a HDMI input on the TV you can use this device. Works great even on my desktop, although, I had to hook it up using my phone and WiFi, but once I got it hooked up, the desktop could see it over the internet and was able to cast from there. Great device!
