I bought this item as a graduation gift for a friend and she seems to like it. She did have some problems connecting to it but was able to finally get it to work. I haven't asked how often she uses it but she appreciates the gift and would recommend it to others.

Recently purchased the google chrome cast pruduct from best buy. Turned out to be a very good product. I am able to watch Netflix on the tv castiing it from my iPhone. Picks up thr signal well enough. A little trouble when trying to disconnect from the device.

Chromecast is a fantastic item. Very easy to use and set up and more and more apps are becoming available to use chromecast features. So far, I've really only used Netflix and YouTube. It works like a charm!

The “Google - Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player” is a great (and relatively inexpensive) way to enjoy online video and music on your TV, no matter what type of device you’re using. The installation process is relatively simple, although it may take more than one attempt for the device to be recognized by a HDMI compatible TV. The device doesn't provide the capability of streaming the entire device desktop (which could be useful for sharing other types of local multimedia content such as work presentations), but this functionality could easily be made available in a future automatic device update from Google.

Better than nothing, but not up to par with the Apple TV. I got this when it was in its infancy and it really showed. Not supported my many apps nor useful in any real way it was returned soon after purchase.

I have had to reset this item and call tech support on several occasions. This item streams very well when it is working. Maybe I don't use this "stick" often enough. I have a Roku "stick" that I use everyday.

I was attracted by the promise of being able to display *anything* on my Android phone or tablet on the TV. Well, there's a catch to that: only certain versions of Android, and only certain devices (there's a list). Otherwise you're limited to apps that are ChromeCast-aware, notably YouTube (I'm not a big watcher) and apps that provide video entertainment for a fee like Google Play, Hulu, etc. (OK, some stuff is free via Android app there, but not much interesting to me). The free content available from my local library has an app which does not support ChromeCast, so I'm not getting much use out of the device. On the plus side, it does largely work with those apps that support it. But by and large, I wasted my money on this thing.

Purchased the device after reviews and I am glad with the purchase. This has become a daily companion for me. It works so well and streams everything so perfectly. Setup was smooth. Highly recommended.

It turned my tv into smart tv. Watch movies, video

I was looking for an easy way to get my content on my TV in the living room. I plugged mine into my receiver and it took about 2mins to setup. I can easily cast any Pandora, Netflix, YouTube, ESPNGO, HBOGO, Crackle all from my iphone and ipad. When I purchased the PLEX app for $4.99 to cast my music, movie, and picture library I fell in love with Chromecast. All my itunes, iphoto and movies cast to my TV with no problem. Not to mention you can cast a chrome internet page from your laptop to your TV. For about $40 total I have a full media connectivity on all my devices. Had to get one for all of my TVs after PLEX. For the price it wasn't hard. Love my chromecast and I hope Google continues to get more apps.

This is a good product. I am not a tech geek yet I was able to install it. The price is affordable. I could watch Netflix and Hulu. I wish I could watch more channels.

I primarily purchased this device to leave it plugged into the TV outside near the pool. Before purchasing Google's Chromecast, I already owned two Apple TV's which are comparable to Roku Boxes. If you compare Chromecast to a Roku Box or Apple TV, you'll be fairly disappointed as you'll need a secondary device, such as a phone, tablet, or computer to "Cast" whatever you're watching or listening to, to the Chromcast. There is no remote, and nothing is playable out of the box. With that being said, it will do what you need it to do, it will play Netflix, HBO Go, and stream videos from the internet to your TV. Unfortunately, you'll have to jump through a few hoops to stream storied content from your computer to the Chromcast.

Works great with Chomr browser. We watch all movies on chrome browser and relay it to TV directly. Has inbuild Youtube app which helps to play contents directly. Very affordable and worth for its cost.

It's great and can be carried in your pocket. I use it when traveling and at home. Can show my Pc pics with ease on the tv. Watch tons of movies and shows no matter where I am. Just love it. Cheap price too

Couldn't be more pleased. Small size, a breeze to set up, works better then any other streaming video player in the house. Great apps support with more on the way. Works great with my Nexus 7 and Galaxy S3.

Bought this specifically to watch Netflix off of my iPhone and have used it for so much more including streaming Google Chrome from my computer, playing Pandora, and just watching silly YouTube videos with friends. I can't believe how easy it was to setup and use, and how cheap it was compared to other products.

Pros: Easy setup, affordable, convenient Cons: Only compatible with certain OS's and devices. Check your system compatibility before buying. Could not use from my parent's laptops running Windows XP/Vista. We use their Android smart phones to control Chromecast.

I highly recommend this for netflix and YouTube users. Allows for easy transfer of shows and videos to be viewed on the TV. Especially useful if you are accessing these programs from a smart phone or iPad.

The setup is very easy and simple. Easy to watch youtube, netflix. It does not have many apps and waiting for updated firmware to support more apps and local streaming.

The Chromecast is very easy to set up and easy to use. the only problem might be the remote in my phone, but that might be the phone and connection that can get slow.
