Overall a nice device for streaming to a tv but this is our secind unit and we sometimes have a hard time connecting to it or switching feed devices.

Well it's a great product, undoubtedly ! For only $35, it does pack quite a punch. But there are a few shortcomings, which I believe need immediate attention 1. The screen mirroring could not be used from my Galaxy S4. 2. There should be more convenient casting from laptops. Instead of just being able to cast a tab from chrome, it would be better if it can be used to connect the TV as an extended screen to the laptop. 3. The form factor could have been slightly smaller.

It is a great and inexpensive option to the higher priced ones. Easy to use and especially good for secondary tv's.

When it is working, it works well. However, it needs to reset occasionally and it takes forever to restart.

This is wonderful. Hulu, you tube, Netflix, screen sharing. No need for cable. Easy to use and set up. Controlled with my phone

Before I had the chromecast, I used to sadly watch my Hulu and Netflix shows on my small 5.5" screen smartphone. But now now that I have it, I can stream all my videos to my 55" screen, that's literally 10 times bigger and 100% better.

I like it but the commercial for the device isn't exactly what you get. There is some lag , quality is great though.

Good device to cast some things to the big tv. It doesn't work for everything which is still a pain. google support is not the best when you explain that you have gone through all the steps they recommend on their support page and they send you right back to the exact same support page when you request further troubleshooting information. Back to hooking the laptop to the tv with the hdmi port. This way anything on the laptop will display on the TV. At least with this device you can cast compatible items and view something else at the same time.

Chromecast 1 is still a great choice as it allows most of the functionality needed. Also, it works flawlessly. The only downside is the lack of remote, but you wouldn't be getting this if you didn't have a smart phone or tablet.

I love this thing. I don't have cable, get poor antennae reception, work full time, and take night classes so I rarely watch TV in real time. Between the free ABC app, Hulu and Netflix, I have access to all the shows and movies I need without having to connect my laptop to the television set. I gave it a 4 because there is a learning curve for switching casting between apps and rebooting if it freezes. But it is easy to set up and simple enough to trouble shoot.

Really comes in handy when trying to watch a movie from your smart phone with the whole family. Works pretty good, just had a few issues with buffering and the video and voice being a little off

This is a great way to wirelessly stream from a laptop or tablet to a HDMI TV. You have to use Google's chrome browser though, and not VLC or another videoplayer, but if you are creative, you can find ways around that. Plus, it's cheap

Bought this for showing pictures from phone or tablet on tv. This works good for that purpose. Our internet is too slow to use it for streaming videos and movies. I am happy with the purchase.

This device not only allow you to stream anything on your hd tv but it also lets you keep working on whatever you are doing on the device you are streaming from. Easy yo use and set up. Most important is that it allows you to have many and label them so you can have full control over each one of them. The hd image is excellent and the conexion speed is outstanding. I alteady own 3 and is awesome. Works fine with my kids due to the fact that I dont even need to move from the desk to put something else for them to watch on their tv. Totally awesome

Yes i would recommand it to friends and fam,very wasy to use wifhout paying alot. I have one n every room. Love it but wish i had the newer model

This is great. I can connect it to my dumb TVs and instantly stream from my Samsung S5 Android Phone, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Tab 3, and Google Chrome web browser. When I am in my home office with my little girl, I just grab my phone to open Netflix and push it to the TV. I can still use my phone to make calls, open up apps, and even play other games. The only down side is that my TV doesn't have a USB cable to power the device, so I have to plug a usb cable into the wall like you would your phone charger. I am going to get one for all of my TVs.

For uTube it meets the brag. Easy plug in install to my compatible flatscreen. Easy free App download to my iPhone. Easy setup. Easy operation. Video clarity limited only by the sourced material. I do not use it for anything but uTube

Amazing device that you can use to stream anything from your phone. Easy set up. Enjoy netflix, YouTube , or just mirror your phone screen.. all of this and more with this device.

I love the Chromecast. It is easy to use and easy to setup. Great option for the price. Can't wait for more apps to start to utilize the Chromecast.

Set up took about 15 minutes which included downloading the app to my samsung galaxy phone and ipad. Works great with You Tube which is the only app I am using at the present time. Sure wish I could screen mirror my phone and ipad without having to pay for the app, which explains my 4 stars for usefulness and compatibilty. I Using it to watch music videos and lots of DIY when nothing good is on the tele. Got it on sales for less then the $35, therefore I am very happy.
