it was quick to setup and works well. But it does most of our laptop cpu to do a full screen cast to our tv.

Works very well to access the internet for streaming programming. I used to have to take out my laptop to connect. Now I can control things from my I-phone. Very pleased with the product.

This device enables me to enjoy viewing ipad apps such as pandora and netflix on the big screen. I love it.

Chromecast is an amazing device with so many things to explore and many new adding daily. It is by far the best device as compared to apple tv or Roku. I recommend this device to everyone.

I purchased three of these to make some of the older televisions in my home "Smart". They work fine with phones and tablet devices within the house, however they will not connect to my wireless network. I upgraded to a Netgear nighthawk ac router in the summer from an older Netgear n router. Chromecast is not compatable with the newer technology. I found this to be dissapointing.

Love this item. I was using a lap top and a cord with serial ports to connect to my TV. Now with one touch, on my tablet or phone, I can "cast" what is on my device onto my TV. It was easy to install, I did it myself in about 15 minutes. Now Hulu, YouTube, Netflix, and any other streaming video can be seen on your tv. When I hosted girls night, I was able to log onto Netflix and we chose a movie and then put it on the big screen. It was totally worth $35.

I was using this to use a dashboard on a tv for website data. After about 7 months, it would have a hard time connecting wirelessly to the internet. However, the chromecast wasn't originally designed for this task so it may be overworked. Regardless, this is the old, outdated version of the chromecast. Definitely buy the new one.

I think the price is great for what this device provide. Very convenient to show videos from phone to TV.

I bought this product on the day it was announced. Chromecast has replaced my Apple TV due to the ease of use through my laptop or mobile device. Much better than using a TV remote to control my TV. The initial limits on what can be streamed will likely be addressed by Google and content providers. At $35 this is almost an impulse buy. Thank you Best Buy and Google!

This was so easy to set up. It worked right away. I was able to connect to Nexflix quickly and watch a movie.

I am so glad I bought this item, its so easy to use. I can watch shows, videos, movies from my devices onto my television. I even gone back to buy another one for another room in my home,

Great little device. At $35 it is a must have. Currently the only supported apps are: Google Play content such as Google Play Movies and Google Play Music Netflix Apps that have announced support coming soon: HBO Hulu Plex etc.

I'm a tech professional so very picky and i love this thing. Workhorse for job stuff and super fun for games/media. already bought another for the GF.

As handy as Chromecast would have been for me, it turns out Chromecast and my Uverse modem do not play well together. I happened to join Uverse when some of their modems would not sync with Chromecast. I tried the online access option suggested by Chromecast, but it did not work and it was not worth my time to figure it out. I returned the Chromecast in favor or a Roku 2 which had me up and running within minutes. And, Roku's interface is like butter.

All in all very pleased with the device. It was relatively inexpensive and very easy to set up. However, when streaming it hangs up more often than the Apple TV which we also bought at Best Buy. Also the selection of of what you can stream is more limited. However, all in all it does the job and a cheap way to stream video. Recommended if price matters otherwise go with the Apple TV.

I have a smart tv in my living room and a regular flat screen in my bedroom. I want smart tv capabilities in my bedroom and this surpassed my expectations. The connection is much smoother

The Google chromecast HDMI is easy to setup and has great high definition video.

Initially, I ONLY bought this because the price was attractive! I thought I'd toss it in the junk pile after a week, but NOPE This lil' gadget is a staple in my home now. I'll be purchasing at least 5 more to accommodate my other TV units. Setup was slightly difficult, especially connecting to the wireless router. Once set-up was complete, streaming from my Android devices was a breeze!

my friend introduced me to this wonderful devise. I loved it so much I have one downstairs on my main TV and one upstairs on my bedroom TV. It has been a great inexpensive investment :-)

Works great when working on ethernet, when connected on wireless there is lag. When the desktop is projected on TV, lag in video and streaming is not so good. Easy to use, does the job of projection. I would have loved to see it working without lag or pixel distortion. P.S: I have 100+ mbps internet with 300mbps router connected to a i7 laptop. So its not my devices for sure :-)
