Once you understand what this device does & how it does it, there's almost no reason NOT to have one... especially at that price point. What was meant to be something to tinker with has become what we use about 90% of the time when streaming content.

I bought this for my mother. She uses it to stream YouTube videos to her tv that she would otherwise have watched on the iPad. Works fine. Bought and returned one for my son. He'd rather watch on his phone!

ChromeCast is a great and cheap device for getting smart apps on your no-smartTV. Furthermore, you can upload videos from your PC or cellphone. I will be much happy if they add more apps into this device.

That I like about google chromecast is you can carry with you and plug it in any tv with HDMI, you just need, a wireless internet connection, you can share your pictures, watch videos from YouTube and stream them from a tablet, smartphone or laptop..

Purchased this item to watch Netflix on my television. Installing was a little difficult, since I am technologically illiterate. Once installed, I absolutely loved it. I use it frequently. Great invention.

I got this for new years. Had about 7 couple and their family's over. Asked them for their favorite songs the week before they visited. Was able to Chromecast their favorite songs via YouTube it to my projector and we had a great time. Great product.

We love the Chrome. We bought our first one over a year ago and use it a ton. With three teenagers in the home we needed to add them to other TVs so we could all watch what we want. This makes three Chromes in the house and everyone is happy!

I went into this purchase very skeptical. I have always used a cord to hook my tablet to our television. Chromecast was easy to hook up and has the most beautiful picture ever. It is true HD quality and I have had no issues with dropping the signal.

My favorite thing about Google Chrome is the number of applications developed specifically for it and how it integrates seamlessly with my mobile device!

We do not have cable so the chromecast has been a great way for us to stream shows off the internet and watch them on our TV. I found the set-up to be easy!

This little gadget is great. I can stream Youtube videos and Netflix to my TV from my iPhone. What is even better, it creates a play list from Youtube and allows me to still use my phone while streaming the videos. Little price for lots of enjoyment.

I bought the Chromecast as I felt this is the next big thing in wirelessly streaming media to your TV. I was pleased with the size, smaller than competing products, and that it was from Google. It is a breeze to install, can you say "Just Plug It In" and download the software to your android or IOS device and it's ready to go. It streams Netflix, any Google Chrome Browser media and pictures, but does not have compatibility yet outside of that and YouTube. It's getting lots of updates, so maybe it will be compatible in time. All in all, worth the investment, at a very reasonable price.

Bought for my spare bedroom for when i have guests over. Takes a little to get it set up but once you do it makea for an enjoyable viewing experience as long as youe decice can download the required software

Love our chromecast! We have never had another device like this, so I do not have anything to compare it to. However, setup was a breeze and the display is beautiful. Chromecast has enough apps to entertain the whole family! Love love love it :)

This is a great product and you can't beat the $35 price tag! Google has several apps that can cast to the Chromecast now and I'm sure will be constantly adding other viewing options in the future. Make sure you have a good, strong WiFi connection or it will constantly buffer. I added a range extender in my bonus room and problem solved! Note: it does not stream from your device to the Chromecast, it retrieves content over your network, which is the reason for having a good signal.

Streaming to Chromecasts is gradually improving - Chrome extensions even allow you to stream video files from your computers to it, getting around the need to cast only a tab. Lots of apps are supporting Chromecasts as well, so improving all around.

Combined with Plex Media server, I can watch any of my movies. TV shows and home videos anywhere. Best of all, I can start a movie on my iPad, and with a press of a button push the movie to my chromecast without missing a single second of the video.

Chromecast works great and allows me to watch a variety of TV via the Internet as well as casting my tablets or phones screen to the big tv to share pictures, videos or what ever. I love it and have one on all my TV sets. I also got one for my son.

Logging into your cable providers site and streaming shows, or streaming the game from some site but wanting it to be in the TV is possible with this little guy. Just requires that you use chrome and you can broadcast the whole site right to the TV!

We don't have to pay for movies at Red Box or to a subscriber. These movies are current and the visual quality is great. Hooks up to your T.V in minutes.
