Easy to install. Excellent video quality. Very fast.

It is complicated to use. It is complicated in my case because it didn't want to work through my receiver, took me weeks to troubleshoot and resolve. Once it does work though, its good for basic streaming. It worked fine through my TV directly, but that's not my setup. Almost returned it because of the hassle. When it comes to the not so common apps like history channel or crunchyroll, it may work or it may fail completely. I think it needs a better cooling solution, this thing gets hot to the touch. I leave it plugged in day and night. It does what it needs to do, which is stream. I use it all the time everyday. It gets high quality to, but sometimes it won't push dolby digital plus, only 2 ch. Even though the content shows it is 5.1 capable. Buy if your tech savvy, don't get it for grandma.

I remember how hard it used to be to watch video form your computer to TV. I remember using HDMI cords. Then trying to Airplay or use some device to load up my videos. Now I can Google Cast basically anything, in 4K, instantly. Future is here

I had been finding that the ability to stream from new apps in 2019 was becoming an issue with buffering and losing connection. After attempts to adjust other settings and connection types, to no avail, I decided to try the newest version of Chromecast, the Ultra 4K. It has been the solution to my issues. As example, I was having issues with buffering and dropping connection while trying to stream MLB.TV from my ipad (current model), even with a wired network connection. After switching to the Ultra, not one drop out. I can watch a full game without any issues and streaming from YouTube, Netflix or Amazon has also been perfect. If you have any issues with the legacy Chromecast and have tried every suggestion you can find in a Google search, you might want to give this a try.

I personally bought this for Google Stadia. Comes with Ethernet Connection built in so steaming is UBER fast. Is 4k HDR and have 3 of these with ZERO issues. Sure there is another version out but if you want to do cloud gaming this is the way to go and has ethernet adapter included for hard wired connection . Only downside for me is no remote like the new model and doesnt run stand alone apps but hey for what this is you cant go wrong. Sure there is a new model but doesnt have the ethernet connection like this one does so decide which route you want to go but I can tell you I am very happy with the 3 I own and will continue to use mine for years to come with no issues or problems.

We got rid of cable and use one of these with several apps. Picture quality is great. Connecting is no problem.

Best 4K streamer device. For the price you pay you get more than you pay for.

Chromecast Ultra is great for streaming content straight to my TV with no lag.

I've picked up two of these now, they are a great, easy & affordable way to stream 4k content to a compatible TV. Casting is a breeze, quick and responsive from your cell phone. All in a convenient small package that allows you to travel and binge on the go!

I bought this solely in order to use it for my VUDU streaming. I had been holding off until my Denon 3300W receiver received the Dolby Vision update. While my 2016 LG B6 OLED has VUDU built-in, it doesn't support Dolby Atmos over HDMI ARC. So that's it, I'm using the Ultra Chromecast for when I want to stream my movies from VUDU, so that I can get both Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos. I'd give it 5 stars, but Google is falling behind on their 4K content support.

This chrome cast ultra is a must! It’s great for anyone who would like to stream content from their phone to their tv. This works really great with a 4K tv. I used it on mine and i was just amazed of how beautiful things looked and how fast it is.

It’s working great I like it ,it’s simple and easy to set up. It’s little expensive but worth it resolution

NOTE: CHROMECAST only broadcast from phone to tv. It does not have stored apps like Firestick. If you have smart tv, Chromcast is not needed. Side Note: If you are a gamer, I would definitely cop one for the Non-Subscription edition of Stadia coming early 2020

This is my “go-to” device for N-Flx. Much better than A-TV. A-TV is always falling off the network forcing me to find the silver remote to operate it. This device is rock solid and always works from the iPhone N-Flx client. I also stream to it from Plex and it’s rock solid. My favorite feature is the ability to synchronously play audio throughout the house to Chromecast Audio devices synchronously. It’s nice to walk from room to room and hear the same audio without delay or glitch. This CC integrates seamlessly with the other CCs and CC Audios to create a Sonos-like System that’s way easier to set up and operate. I have my entire music collection from iTunes on my Plex Media server and it’s very easy to use. If you’re a “cloud person,” we have found it very easy to use with Spotify too.

I upgraded from the 2nd gen Chromecast (without 4K) and this Ultra works a lot better. This is probably due to the feature of having the ability to plug in an ethernet cable!!! Fast and smooth casting and very CLEAR!
