Great product to use for casting. Easy and affordable.

Paired this device with my 65" 4k tv and it works like a charm. All I do is cast movies and tv shows with the ease of my phone. It loads fast and my streams are crystal!

I was looking for a way to get HBO MAX streaming on my 4K TV, which Roku doesn't support. Setup is easy and picture quality is excellent. While you can also place photos and other material on the TV, the Tablet (or phone) merely functions as a transport (Start / Stop) controller. It appears as though when you select a show on HBO Max from the tablet, it instructs the Chromecast to access the IP address for that particular file. I say this because I can watch a 2 hour movie and my tablet or phone might lose 1 - 2 percent of battery life. If it were actually playing the movie, this would not be the case. Bottom line... EXCELLENT!

It is easy to set up. Very flexible for any smartphone

Not only do I own two of these myself, I have purchased one for each member of my family. Setup is easy with the Google Home app. Because this is the Ultra you need to have a high speed internet connection for it to function properly. If you have the capability to do so I would recommend using the Ethernet port on the included power adapter. I use mine on the WiFi without a problem but I have fast internet and a nice router. Most of the big name streaming apps are compatible and it's also great for streaming music on your home theater/TV. I always bring this with me when I travel and has come in handy to avoid using unfamiliar equipment. Great device!

I had already purchased many Google homes, so I branched out and purchased this. I love it!! Set up was easy, and the casting is great....so great in fact that I purchased four more for my home.

If you enjoy casting things from your phone or your laptop this is a must have for 4K enthusiasts. Hopefully more media comes to this high quality rate in the future.

An upgrade over the normal Chromecast, but the upgrade is not for everyone. With the Chromecast Ultra, you will see better quality videos (it's really dependent on your internet connection, but the Ethernet support really helps in my case), a faster response time to connecting, and I've noticed my phone's connection tends to drops less with this upgraded version. Cons: 4K content is lacking unless you are willing to pay extra. The regular chromecast is sufficient for most people. Note: The Ultra gives you the option to use an Ethernet cable or WiFi, but I would definitely recommend using an Ethernet cable unless you have very strong WiFi. The 4K content or HD content can take a lot of bandwidth.

You do need to use the app wireless to get the system working. So if you don't have wireless this will not work for you. But I wired it and have a wireless router so this was so easy. It is probably saving my marriage as my wife can workout downstairs before work and I can watch TV. Before this we had to share the same set.

I just purchased a 4K TV and needed a 4K streaming device. This unit works fine.

Inexpensive. Easier to set up. Works as advertised.

I had this set this up in a couple of minutes. I use a LAN cable to connect the router and the device, makes it a lot easier. It works on my android devises and iPad. Turns any TV into a smart TV. Worth every cent.
