I bought this Griffin Survivor case to replace the Griffin Survivor case that laid it's life on the line for the iPad 3 that was so lovingly encased in it. One Sunday afternoon I found myself running late for a planned outing. I peeled out of my neighborhood like an Andretti wannabe until a UFO ( which was later identified) catapulted over my vehicle and across a 4 lane parkway. I pulled over quickly without causing a wreck. Apparently, I had absentmindedly placed my iPad on the roof of my car. Surprisingly, the Griffin Survivor case had several dings & scratches but remained essentially intact. iPad was also completely intact and in perfect working condition. Trust that Griffin Survivor is worth every dollar! True Story!

I had a Griffin case for my previous ipad, and it took a lot of abuse. I purchased this case in hopes of protecting my new ipad. So far I has protected it beautifully. This one was easier to put on the ipad, too!

The case is very durable and very high-quality. Also, I like the stand in the back, it's very functional and provides the protection and functionality that I need for the work that I do.

The Griffin Technology protects the iPad very well. I know it is due to the materials used that makes it a bit on the heavy side, but it protects very well.

Great case for iPad. Very secure fit. It’s already been tested! It held its iwn and saved the ipad from the six foot fall it took off if the back deck. Highly recommended!

We brought this case to protect our daughter's laptop at school - it is a little bulky but it seems to still do a great job at keeping her computer in one piece!

Case was purchased for an IPad 4 and it fit perfectly. Has provided necessary protection for my 10 year old to use and keep it from being damaged

Easy to set up and is wonderful protector when it comes to kids. Kids tended to spill.. dirtied, and smeared the Ipad and it's easy to wipe off and proctect the ipad with its cover! Points for parents!

The options of colors are pretty, the set up is easy to follow. Love the stand attached to the case to let it stand up on a table.wveryhing is protected with covering like your camera and etc.

The 5th star was given because 1) it came in blue and 2) it was still available despite how many years ago Gen 3 was released. The product at first glance looks like it is over engineered, but like other iPhone and iPad covers that I’ve had in the past, the product is proven. Touch and feel of the outer rubber cover is assuring. Grooving and texture reinforces hold. Skeletal frame feels like it was baked into the rubber mold. Fit and finish is comparable to the rival company. NOTE: I said comparable, not better. Otherwise, this is my favorite brand of all the cases on the market.

Pretty decent. Overpriced (I paid $70 and this is for an older iPad). The case choices are very limited for an old iPad like I have. I needed a durable shock protective case. This pretty much fits the bill. Griffin is usually high quality. The take-off stand is flimsy though. the plastic they use in conjunction with the rubber is a bit hard. Other than that, very durable and that's the main reason for the purchase.

Best kid friendly case that really protects against drops and scratches. Plus the thicker case is easier to hold with small hands.

I believe in the Griffin Survivor. I had it on my old iPod touch for a year and nothing ever happened to it, although I dropped it about 50 times. When I took it off, the touch never had a scratch on it. This is what led me to buy this for my new Ipad 4. It's a little tough to get on, but when you do, it's super secure. My Ipad dropped a few times since it's been on, but still works fine. I have a son that plays with my Ipad and I needed a rugged case. I chose this over Lifeproof because it's less expensive and I read some reviews when Ipads broke even when dropped with a Lifreproof case on. Not the case with this one.

Very happy with with iPad case. Sturdy case especially for use by kids. Bought this for a great price and am very happy with it.

Someone really thought about the design of this case. The case was a gift for a 13 year old whose iPad is about a year old so it had a Zagg Invisible Shield. Closing the case requires "dad strength" but that's a good thing, a really good thing. Once it's all closed up it holds everything in place. The built in stand is awesome and the drop protection is excellent. It's almost too minor to mention but with the Zagg installed the screen shows bubbling when it's off. When it's on you can just press any visible bubbles and it just goes away. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the quality and the way it works.

I use the same type case for both my iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Very strong. I have 3 kids and this case will survive just about anything they use it for. I highly recommend this case. There are a few minor issues, the case is a little difficult to put on and the mic and speaker will be a little muffled from some of the weatherproofing. I removed the film weatherproofing and have not had a problem since. Still as durable as it started. Even with the few minor issues, I still highly recommend this case over otter, ballistic and any other Comparably price case. If you need more, go lifeproof.

my iPad is very well protected with this cover. I have had two other different cheaper covers and the screen shattered when we dropped the iPad by accident.

No wonder its called survivor....the only thing is that it looks like if the screen is wet......don't know how to fix it but other than that I love it.
