The game is awesome especially if you like the magical world and Harry Potter! It really is like being in the movie but with your own experiences from making your own potions to saving magical beast and fighting dark wizards every thing is life like and very real looking its very open world so plenty of places to explore walking or flying on your broom so i promise you want be disappointed in this game.

I'm someone who knew nothing about the Harry Potter universe, but I am very happy with this game. Also, as someone who loves playing video games, this is an excellent way for me to have my first experience with the Harry Potter franchise. The combat is fast paced and engaging, the story is interesting (the opening was very strong, and gripped me within the first 5 minutes,) and the visuals are quite impressive. Exploring Hogwarts castle is an experience all its own. So much detail! So many bits of lore sprinkled throughout. I imagine it is jam-packed full of easter eggs and surprises for Harry Potter fans. I'm honestly very happy with this purchase, despite knowing next to nothing about the franchise. I've had a lot of fun so far, and don't expect that will change. Oh, regarding game length, I've already played just short of 30 hours, and it seems as though I'm only about halfway through the main story. Granted, I've done a lot of exploring and side quests, which account for a large portion of those 30 hours, but my point is there is plenty of content in this game to make it worth the purchase. I definitely recommend it, even to people who aren't familiar with Harry Potter. It's a strong game on its own merit!

The world build in this game is amazing. I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, however, this game had a great story and excellent gameplay. Game ran smoothly on Series X.

I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan, but I wanted to see what all the hype is about. This game is really solid. Massive open world. The graphics aren't the "best," but they are good. For the most part, the game play is really intuitive and feels natural (especially the combat). I wish you could jump, and there are some glitchy lines that pop up in some cut scenes, but nothing major, and they already put out one patch, so it is likely to get fixed. I find myself wanting to play it, so that is the best recommendation I can give.

I'd give a 4.75 / 5. The world is detailed and incredibly fun to explore. The story and atmosphere is amazing. My two gripes are combat and dialogue tree, so far. Combat: it's very wonky to switch between enemies. Need to update settings to make it work at all. Hopefully patch fixes this. Dialogue: you are often given two choices (good and evil) to respond to questions. The game appears to make you believe this choice matter... But it largely doesn't. The end result is the same.

I didnt have high hopes when i bought this for the harry potter superfan in our home. Id heard the campaign was short, the combat repetetive and the open world a bit empty. 46 hours in and still going strong, non of those reviews have held up. Theres tons of things to do in the world, (and a quidditch pitch, just no quidditch yet). Combat is a little simple, but different spells keep it fresh enough as you progress, and if you like customizing theres tons of base building choices in the room of requirement. The game also has a cool outfit feature for its tons of items and drops: once you unlock an item, you can wear its cosmetic at any time, even if you are actually wearing a more powerful item, but like the look of your character in a different robe or mask. Looking forward to DlC in the future. 'Accio Quidditch'

The Harry Potter Game We Always Wanted!

Still in the early stages of the game but so far this is the Harry Potter game that many wanted for ages! Storyline so far is intriguing, visually it is extremely impressive, but the nostalgia mixed with the quality of the game is what is really keeping me playing. Exploring Hogwarts is absolutely surreal. Very much recommend this game to Harry Potter fans and any casual gamers that want an escape.

I haven't had this much fun since exploring the Boston area in post nuclear war within the game "Fallout 4". You'll see similar testaments comparing this to Skyrim. Its rare for an open world game to have this level of emersion... and the attention to detail is stellar. Explore Hogwarts with various secret passageways, explore towns and other small castles 10x further away than Hogsmed, collect pets, brooms, items... decorate your own "house" in the room of requirement (which grows far larger than you expect), on and on I could go. Various extravagant details include kids talking and practicing spells on eachother, studetns receiving "howlers" in the hallway with parents yelling at them via the talking letter, a traveling music performer who buys a new instrument to add to his floating orchestra if you tip him, pettable cats, etc. I dont know how developers convinced the financial team to allow the time and money of adding these details, but we're all VERY glad they did. Go on... explore one of your favorite mythical worlds!

Everything is amazingly! Graphics, mechanics, story, customization of character. On top of all that it is a complete game! That is something truly unique and rare in this day and age.
