Works excellent on hardwood or tile floors. It definitely collects the dirt / dust! What a deal (Deal of the Day)...$82 instead of $179!

It's great to be able to stay on top of the vacuuming at our house with this light-weight, cordless vacuum. I was pleasantly surprised at the suction power! And since it's so easy to grab and use, I can quickly pick up tracked-in grass or spills before they spread throughout the house. It's great at picking up pet hair, too. The best feature, however, is that this vacuum uses a rechargeable battery that pops out to be set onto the charger--which means I can have a back-up battery ready to go at any time. To my knowledge, this is the only cordless, stick vacuum on the market today that has this invaluable feature. Kudos to Hoover!

This is the best vacuum I have ever used!!! It works great on all floor types. Picks up animal hair in a second. It is light weight...great on stairs. It cleans out easily, comes apart quickly to clean inside canister. I have had no complaints with this machine. It fits low under your furniture and stays charged for at least a full 30 minutes. Our home is about 2300 square feet and I can do the whole place on one charge. You will not regret this purchase. My 22 year old daughter loved it so much it was all she wanted for her birthday!

I've tried a lot of stick vacs over the years but this one was a really pleasant surprise. To start with, the rear wheels and the front rollers are rubber, so they don't mar the floor. There is also a rubber bumper that helps to keep from crashing into furniture legs. It's light weight and easy to maneuver. The noise level is quite low compared to all the other vacs I've used. I don't have a huge house but the battery life seems to be really good. I can usually get two or three sessions out of one charge. The switch is very conveniently located and allows you to switch from bare floors to carpet almost without thinking about it. The suction is really strong and picks up pretty much anything on the first pass. Edge suction is is good too and actually works (unlike a lot of others that claim to have this feature). I really like the fact that the battery is removable and you can set up the charger wherever it's the easiest for you. I don't have power outlets in my closets and charging many other brands forces you to charge their vacuums in some sort of cradle. This sounds like a nice feature, and if your closets have power outlets, then you may like that. For the rest of us, it's just easier to pop out the battery and slide it into the charger. Really happy with the performance and all the subtle design features of this vacuum.

Pros: Batteray fully charged quite quick within 3 hours. One single charge last about 15 to 18 minutes depending on usage on hard floor or carpet. Suction is quite powerful for a cordless vacuum. Light weight and easy to maneuver. Works great on hard floor, good on rugs and fairly good on carpets. The 3 level battery life indicating blue lights is helpful. Dust bin is easy to empty. Cons: Not good for removal of pet hair. Most hair trapped on brush even brush rotation turned off. No hand tools and hose extention for vacuuming of furniture, window or wall. Dust bin fall off quite easily when vacuum on harder impact on obstacles. Cleaning vacuum path could be cumblesome since there are many screws to remove. Very good customer supports. Mine brush stopped rotating and Hoover went ahead to replace with a brand vacuum though took quite long to reach the local Hoover service center due to back orders. Overall its a good product with good customer supports. I will recommend it if you have a primary vacuum and this one for minor chores

I LOVE this little vacum!!! It's light, easy, efficient. Easy to grab and run through the middle, or. vacum the whole place. It's so light, I bought another one for my 82 year old mother who has back problems and she has not used her other full-size vacuum sense. She loves it too! And it does not make her back hurt. The thing actually works, as some other small type vacuums do not have the suction that this one does. I like that has a floor and a rug feature as I don't have a lot of rugs and only use that part in some rooms, and it works equally well on rugs. If this thing ever wears out, I'll buy another one just like it ! On a scale of 1 to 10, I write this one a 10.

PROS: Super lightweight, seamless multisurface cleaning from hardwood to tiles and on to rugs (as good as any of the bigger, including my Dysons), just needs an extra push on the well placed power switch (upper handle) for deeper cleaning with the roller brush. Replacement parts like extra filters and batteries are easily found. Really picks up the hair, gets into corners, under counters and furniture easily, slips by the baseboard cleanly. Picks up damp things from the kitchen floor without complaining or breaking. Easy to empty by bottom drop out. CONS: Hair in the Roller. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you have long hair or pets, it will need roller brush cleaning monthly with daily use. Filter may fall off. If you drop the dust canister, the filter assembly may fall off and go bouncing. Oh well, it probably needs a wash. Limited Battery Life. However, it's fine for spot touch ups and I can get about 1200sf done before the battery starts to slow. It starts to slow when you have just a few minutes left, so it's easy to tell by the sound how much you can get done before it's over. I keep two batteries so I won't worry.

Wow, this thing really works good for a battery powered device. This vacuum is small and light weight and man does it pick up hair, pet fur and dust. Since it is bagless it has a clear plastic container for all the dirt and you will be shocked how much dirt is in just one room. This vacuum will not replace your corded vacuum because the battery does not store enough energy to vacuum an entire house. I vacuumed two large rooms and it still had plenty of power left (because its still new). This vacuum will work on carpet, tile, linoleum, hard wood floors. You can have suction only (for tile and hard wood floors) or suction and spinning brush (for carpet). The battery is easily removed from the vacuum and it has a separate battery charger that the battery plugs into. This vacuum is outstanding for the kitchen, stairs, family room, because these rooms get so much use every day.

This little vacuum did everything I need it to do. Has good suction power and easy to operate. Has good battery life and charges fast. Very lightweight and easy to handle. Collection reservoir is a bit small but it's easy to empty. I recommend to anyone for light jobs around the house.

With all hardwood floors, I have been looking for something to pick up the little bits. I have a full size canister vacuum cleaner, but it is too heavy to pull out every day. I have purchased hand held vacuums but these are too hard on my back, (bending over all the time). When I bought this unit I was so surprised, it has really good suction, light weight and very easy to maneuver around furniture. Battery life is good and charging goes pretty fast. It also does great on area rugs and floor mats. It doesn't replace the full size vacuum for carpet, but great for daily picking up. I was so pleased with is vacuum that I bought one for my sister. She loves it too.

For several years, I have been searching for a lightweight cordless vacuum that actually works! I've had several different brands and this one is my fourth and final (I hope!) First, it works wonderfully on hardwood, tile, and is good on carpet as well. The battery lasts for at least 30 minutes too. I think it is the perfect vacuum to do the light daily cleaning that you need to do with having children and pets. I highly recommend it!

I love this Hoover cordless vacuum. It's light weight and very easy to use. No cords to deal with. The vacuum has enough power to handle ordinary jobs. Great for quick pick ups and messes. I would not use for heavy deep cleaning of thick carpets but it works nicely on hard surfaces like tile, hardwoods and low pile carpet and area rugs. It also has two speeds: one where there is just suction and the other where the beater brushes are engaged. Battery life is about 15 minutes but thats enough for what I use it for. Highly recommend.

Originally purchased this with the thought of using this as a "quick pickup" vacuum but it has replaced my Dyson and is my vacuum of choice 90% of the time. Great suction, easy to maneuver, lightweight, battery length great! Yes, you have to dump the plastic container 2-3 times if you do your WHOLE house but its worth it with lugging around a heavy corded vacuum! Also, I can lift this with ease to do carpeted stairs & even the couch cushions! I purchased 2 more of these as gifts and the recipients love theirs as much as I do!

This vacuum is pretty awesome for my needs! It is lightweight and works on my wood floors as well as my area rugs (has a switch to do one or the other). I keep it in a closet and grab it as needed, instead of lugging out my canister one. Use it quickly because the charge lasts maybe 15 minutes. I will prob see about buying another battery to have as a backup for more usage time. Love that it is cordless! Buy one! Great for picking up litter, cat hair, crumbs, etc.

I was a little surprised that this vacuum was so small - but it really packs a punch for its size. Being cordless is AWESOME!!!! Hate having to move the plug from room to room. It is very light and easy on my back. The only drawback is the cup capacity - in my situation I have to empty it quite often. I have a brown dog and white carpets! I do like the ability to switch from carpet (brush) to bare floor (no brush). I like this little vacuum very much!

After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to get the Hoover Linx because it was top rated in its class. Best buy had it on sale at the time so I got it for slightly less than retail. This thing picks up a lot more dust and dander than I expected from a cordless vacuum. I am using the almost daily now because of how much I see it picking up, but I still rely on my big canister vac (Miele) to do the deep clean on weekends. Decent battery life. Removeable battery pack & separate charging station allows me to park this thing anywhere in my house and not worry about having an outlet nearby, since I can charge the battery by itself on my kitchen counter (or anywhere) - something I didn't appreciate until after I bought it. Wish the head was a little smaller to fit under some of my furniture, but I guess that's what my other vacuum is for. Overall I'm really happy with the Hoover Linx.

I shopped several brands before purchasing this vac. Cordless, convenience and value were my main criteria. I wanted something to do quick clean-up on the kitchen floor, and it turns out that I use it in other rooms instead of larger corded upright and canister vacs. It's great on stairs! Very light but quite powerful. My house is about 4,500 square feet, but I can easily do 2/3 of it on one charge.

Was looking for something to use on my new hardwood floors. This is lightweight and works very well. I like the option to change the setting for area carpets or hardwood floors. The suction is also very good. Happy with the purchase and price.

I bought this for my mom who is 85 and it is definitely much better then expected. It is easy to use and clean, and works well on carpet and bare floor. it charges easily and quickly and she can clean her whole condo (6 rooms) on one charge. A great Hoover product.

This little vacuum rocks. I have another, bigger, clunky corded vacuum, but this one is light and is perfect for hardwood and most floors, except carpeting. I would say its fair for carpet. I have a dog that sheds, and being able to pull this light one out makes keeping up with it so much easier. Its got good suction on the edges too. Make sure to charge the cartidge beforehand in case you have a lot to do. The charge lasts for hours though. Emptying it is easy, the crud literally falls out of the bottom. Trust me, you will love this little, slim cordless vacuum!
