I have been using my new vacuum for over a month now, about 3x per week. I've always purchased comparable units, and seems as if they always have some blockage issue within this time period. However, my new Hoover windtunnel is still operating fine. The one thing we were looking for in a more expensive unit was retractable cord. The more expensive units did not have this, but our windtunnel does. Thrilled w/the average price range and we got the "extra" retractable cord too!

I have never owned a dyson, so i cannot really compare this with it. But, i am very impressed with this cleaner. The last vacuum I had cleaned well, or so i thought. But after using this one i don't know what the last one was doing! With the same frequency of cleaning the same size room, this vacuum picked up far more dust than the old one, and now the floor feels like it should!!! I also love the pet hair attachment. This does not have brushes, but more like spatulas on them. Easier to clean, too. definitely recommended!!!!

I have tried many vacuums in the past few years. I have two dogs that shed. This vacuum has been the best.

Great vacuum cleaner for all surfaces. A little heavy for dragging up and down the stairs.
