I was shocked to see how much dirt this vacuum picked up during its first use on what appeared to be clean carpet! The only drawback is it is very heavy, so not great for hauling up and down the stairs very often. The attachments are also very pet-specific (i.e. hard rubber bristles instead of fabric), so not ideal for general dusting and the like. Overall though very happy with this vacuum.

I bought this vacuum for my daughter for Christmas and got a GREAT price from Best Buy. The performance is very good and the cord is fairly long enough. It is a little heavy, but acceptable considering all of the on-board attachments.

This is quite heavy for everyday use. I get a sore arm after going through 2 rooms with it. While the suction power is good, you can only use it on wide open spaces. its difficult to maneuver corners and under furniture. I would recommend this only for once a week heavy duty cleaning.

We needed a vacuum for a small carpeted/ hardwood area where our new dog hangs out. The vacuum does a fantastic job of picking up his hair and tracked in dirt. It is, as others have said, pretty heavy, so I wouldn't recommend it if you needed to haul out around or up stairs. It was a great Black Friday deal as well, so it was very affordable.

a must for any pet ownerOne of the reasons we say this machine is more cumbersome is that the cleaner head doesn’t automatically adjust to the surface it’s vacuuming like the first two models on our list. You have to manually adjust the brush roller to the correct position (there are five options) before you can get good suction on your floor.

I wish it was lighter but the performance is superb, so far the best I had.

The vacuum was very easy to put together. We have a dog and cat that shed constantly. This vacuum did an awesome job of picking the fur up. The canister is large but filled quickly. I had to empty the canister four times during my first time using it throughout the house. Love that it doesn't kick back the dirt off the hard floor surface.

I purchased this after having a Kirby for many years. It is a good value. Good suction overall. I like the ability to switch off the brush for hardwood floors. I have a large furry dog so the filter does seem a bit small at times, but easy to empty and clean. Guess I should use it more often eh?

Excellent vacuum - picks up pet hair with no fuss, and is easy to clean.

This vacuum is great, I went around and tried different vacuum cleaners, including the shark rotator lift away. I ended up sticking with vacuum due to the value, quality and features of the vacuum. This vacuum has better suction than the shark, it's great on hard floors and carpet. I will greatly recommend this vacuum.

It sucks up everything. Tad heavy but very strong.

I have a 2 BR apt and the vac works well picking up dirt. The removal of the dirt in the bin is very easy to use. I like the retractable cord and works well too. It's not glide easily across carpet but need to try different heights as I have it set on medium. For the price its a great vacuum for my small living space.

for the most part, I am happy with the vacuum. I wish the cord was another 10 feet longer like my old vacuum so I don't have to keep moving it. I really wish it had come with all the normal hand tools that most vacuums come with - this one did not include a brush. Rather disappointing
