Customers are saying

Customers find value in the touch screen, ease of use, and long battery life of this 2-in-1 Chromebook. Its lightweight design and strong performance are also frequently praised, along with the ample RAM and competitive price. However, some users mention limited storage capacity and occasional fan noise as drawbacks. A few also reported minor compatibility issues and some instances of the device overheating.

The new HP 2-in-1 14" Chromebook is an absolute pleasure to use. It features great build quality, outstanding speed thanks to a 8th-gen Core i3 processor, fantastic display, and great battery life. I believe Chromebooks are a product where you get what you pay for... to a point. The HP is nearly on par with Google's PixelBook at a significantly lower price making it a great value in the Chromebook space. Here are the positives: - Nice aluminum finish and white plastic lid that feels refined and not cheap at all. - Fast, fast, fast. This is a combination of ChromeOS, the Core i3 processor, and 8GB RAM. You really don't need more than this. - Runs Android apps and Chrome apps side-by-side. - Display has good color reproduction, above average brightness, and responsive touch layer. Also being 1080p is a big plus for a Chromebook. - Battery life has easily been 10+ hours before reaching 10%. I used it most of Sunday while watching football and found it with 40% charge left. - Solid Wi-Fi and comes with two USB-C ports and a headphone jack. My only real cons: - It's kinda heavy - Android app support is still a little flaky. Ran into a few Android apps that didn't want to play nice, but this is a ChromeOS issue not the notebook itself. Android support continues to be a work in progress. - Speakers are fairly thin sounding. They do the job, but headphones will be the better bet for music listening. Coming from WIndows and Mac machines primarily, the Chromebook is a breath of fresh air. Runs fast, no fuss, and allows me to do most of what I do already thanks to Chrome and Android. The inclusion of Android support last year in ChromeOS really changes the game for Chromebooks. Yes, you could spend less, but you will be compromising somewhere (less screen, less speed, or less battery life). You could also spend more, but why? This is a fantastic secondary computer and possibly even primary depending on your needs. It is a great deal at MSRP and a screamin' deal when found on sale. If you have never used a Chromebook before this is the entry point in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot. I think you will be as impressed as I am.

I got this on black Friday at a great price, and I love it! This has convinced me that Chromebooks can function just as well if not better than traditional laptops especially if using Google as we do in my business. G-Suite has all the office features we need, and we can access them all on the go without any lag because this machine is powerful.

I bought this chrome Notebook so my daughter could be home schooled. She's able to stream her courses online and complete her homework. This computer was reasonably priced, and it has enough memory and speed for all her school needs. This is a great computer for the price.

This AMD Chromebook is the best on the market so far is 2019. Excellent CPU and GPU in a Chromebook device. As of 4/15 I've purchased two devices for my kids. We play games from the Google Play Store including Minecraft. I purchase a more expensive Chromebook for myself, and ended up returning it because this laptop outperformed the more expensive laptop.

I bought this for my wife. It was a 15th birthday (60th, she is a leap year baby) and it has been a Godsend. She can keep up with the grandkids, her family and play her games. It was easy to teach her how to use it. Which was also a Godsend. I would recommend this Chromebook for anyone, no matter your level of technical knowledge.

In the past, I always thought of a Chromebook as being a ‘low rent’ laptop. Maybe something you give to the kids as a first computer. Well, this HP blows that thought away. The old Chromebook we have around the house has a Celeron processor, 4 GB memory, 16 GB flash memory and weighs about 5 pounds. THIS one has an 8th generation core i3 processor, 8 GB of system memory, a huge 64 GB of flash memory and weighs just 3.7 pounds. The screen is an HD 16x9 ratio, perfect for movie watching. The bootup time is faster than my old Chromebook and infinitely faster than my Windows machines. Basically, you just open the cover and you’re there within seconds. You can see icons for the Chrome browser, your Gmail, documents you’ve been working on, YouTube and the Google Play store to get new, mostly free apps for whatever you’d like to do with your new computer. Just browse and download. If you’re new to Chromebooks, you’ll find all kinds of fun and useful apps available to you there. The keyboard is backlit too, which I have hardly ever seen on Chromebooks. What I love about this particular Chromebook, which you also don’t find on most of them is the 2 in 1 feature. Just swivel the lid all the way around and you have a tablet. A keyboard on the screen automatically appears when you need to input information. As far as its Wi-Fi speed I have 1 Gig. Comcast Internet speed and it connects to my network with a higher rate than any other laptop in the house. I easily get a wireless download transfer rate averaging 500 Mb. compared with about 375-400 Mb with my Windows laptops. So, no worries about your Internet connection to watch Netflix or YouTube videos on this device. The speakers are on top right below the screen instead of underneath which never made any sense to me. The sound is loud for good clarity watching a movie for example, it does lack a little bass for music. listening however. I’ve never seen a laptop with a battery life like this one. HP’s specifications say it has a 14-hour battery life. All I know is I’ve been using this machine on and off for about a week, just closing the lid when not in use without signing out and turning the power off and I haven’t had to recharge it yet. Overall unless you strictly need genuine Windows apps for your computing, I’d head over to Best Buy and test drive this thing. You might become an HP Chromebook fan.

I was hesitant to move from my Windows PC to a Chromebook but am now generally pleased because of the CB's startup and operating speed and great battery life. After purchasing Windows 365, I find the transition from Microsoft to Google apps less troublesome than I had feared. My only complaint is the backlit keyboard which is too dimly lit, Overall, a great machine.
