Customers are saying

Customers find value in the touch screen, ease of use, and long battery life of this 2-in-1 Chromebook. Its lightweight design and strong performance are also frequently praised, along with the ample RAM and competitive price. However, some users mention limited storage capacity and occasional fan noise as drawbacks. A few also reported minor compatibility issues and some instances of the device overheating.

I was hesitant to move from my Windows PC to a Chromebook but am now generally pleased because of the CB's startup and operating speed and great battery life. After purchasing Windows 365, I find the transition from Microsoft to Google apps less troublesome than I had feared. My only complaint is the backlit keyboard which is too dimly lit, Overall, a great machine.

I use this every single day. Does most of what a Windows PC will do, great build quality, no viruses or Windows Slowdowns. ChromeOS screams on this hardware. LOVE IT. Not a replacement for a Windows device, but makes a really great Kitchen PC

I looked at a lot of different models for a nice Chromebook. This unit did not have the top specs but I bought it for the dual use. Laptop style or just flipped for tablet style. It has a good battery life and works great. The backlit keyboard is a bit hard to read in daylight. It does have a fan but hardly ever hear it. Overall I'm pleased with this unit

Pretty good overall. Performance is fine, display is fine, build quality is fine. Not a fan of the keyboard though. Keys are flat and the color scheme (gold keys with white lettering) makes it really hard to read the lettering on them. The trackpad is also a bit off. It works, but sometimes it's a bit lagging or imprecise.

In the past, I always thought of a Chromebook as being a ‘low rent’ laptop. Maybe something you give to the kids as a first computer. Well, this HP blows that thought away. The old Chromebook we have around the house has a Celeron processor, 4 GB memory, 16 GB flash memory and weighs about 5 pounds. THIS one has an 8th generation core i3 processor, 8 GB of system memory, a huge 64 GB of flash memory and weighs just 3.7 pounds. The screen is an HD 16x9 ratio, perfect for movie watching. The bootup time is faster than my old Chromebook and infinitely faster than my Windows machines. Basically, you just open the cover and you’re there within seconds. You can see icons for the Chrome browser, your Gmail, documents you’ve been working on, YouTube and the Google Play store to get new, mostly free apps for whatever you’d like to do with your new computer. Just browse and download. If you’re new to Chromebooks, you’ll find all kinds of fun and useful apps available to you there. The keyboard is backlit too, which I have hardly ever seen on Chromebooks. What I love about this particular Chromebook, which you also don’t find on most of them is the 2 in 1 feature. Just swivel the lid all the way around and you have a tablet. A keyboard on the screen automatically appears when you need to input information. As far as its Wi-Fi speed I have 1 Gig. Comcast Internet speed and it connects to my network with a higher rate than any other laptop in the house. I easily get a wireless download transfer rate averaging 500 Mb. compared with about 375-400 Mb with my Windows laptops. So, no worries about your Internet connection to watch Netflix or YouTube videos on this device. The speakers are on top right below the screen instead of underneath which never made any sense to me. The sound is loud for good clarity watching a movie for example, it does lack a little bass for music. listening however. I’ve never seen a laptop with a battery life like this one. HP’s specifications say it has a 14-hour battery life. All I know is I’ve been using this machine on and off for about a week, just closing the lid when not in use without signing out and turning the power off and I haven’t had to recharge it yet. Overall unless you strictly need genuine Windows apps for your computing, I’d head over to Best Buy and test drive this thing. You might become an HP Chromebook fan.

good: - very good build quality - keyboard is very nice - trackpad is good - fingerprint sensor is super fast and accurate - the i3 processor is powerful enough for various tasks, ie browsing/some light gaming bad: - screen color reproduction is ok, for red it was bad as it looked more orange than red - speakers are weak

Grabbed it for $379 and almost bought two. Perfect for my high school senior. This one is USI stylus compatible, but unfortunately BestBuy doesn't carry any. Recommend the Lenovo stylus....

Great purchase, love the color and sleekness of design. I use it for school and streaming, works well. Easy to type and do school work on, feels light compared to other laptops where you have to touch the keypad way harder. Love the “tablet-like” feature of it too.

The hinges are extremely flimsy and the entire Chromebook felt cheap. It ran fast but didn't feel like it would last. I had it for roughly three weeks and returned it. I did like the battery power and weight of the Chromebook overall.

First Chromebook. We bought this for our child to use for school this year. It was easy to set up and no issues with any of the apps. The battery life is fantastic! It's sturdy, but slightly heavy, but it does last at least twice as long as other laptops (non-Chromebooks) I've used. Can't beat the price.

Quick to boot, I love the touchscreen and the convertible capability. The touch pad is pretty sensitive, I often hit it while typing if I don't keep my palms slightly raised. Not a deal breaker, just something I have to get used to. It hasn't completely taken the place of my laptop and ipad but it comes close.

This is my first Chromebook. Loaded Crossover emulator to run Windows programs. Amazing. My Windows programs work better on the Chromebook than they did on my PC. Battery lasts all day. Boot up is instantaneous. Love this machine.
