I chose to review this cartridge because almost everything is printed with black in it. The cartridge costs about $50-$60, but laser cartridges are more efficient than ink, they print over 1500 sheets each, and are less likely to smudge. They last longer, and do not dry out or leak if you are not printing every day. Love my new laser printer!

Not in stock, so I ordered for delivery next day to my home. Took 3 weeks & went to billing address (PO box). Cartridge was not padded within shipping box. It was damaged & leaked from a small crack when I printed. When I called for a credit & instructions, had to deal with phone bank out of country. Representative was rude. I tried to find out if local store had product available before driving 25 miles. No. So, I had to drive to store for a return of leaky cartridge & buy one from a competitor. Wasting time and gas. Santa Rosa store clerk was courteous. However, I was unable to print for 3 weeks, and inconvenienced by the extra travel and gas.

Main reason for buying this all in one printer was to save money on supplies. Turns out that I'm getting half the yield at 10 times the price of my old inkjet. Terrible investment on my part

Hi HPm27dw, regarding the expensive inks, the declared yield is not intended to be the minimum number of pages that the cartridge will print. Rather, page yield data is meant to estimate the average yield expected from a particular cartridge when measured using the ISO test methodology in connection with a designated printer system. Individual cartridges can perform above and below this average due to variation in the cartridge manufacturing process. Additionally, actual yield varies considerably based on factors such as the content of printed pages, typical printer job size, the environmental conditions during operation and the amount of colour printing relative to monochrome printing. For more information on how toner is used, please refer this document: http://hp.care/2qSnbOK. For more information about the declared page yield of cartridges sold for use with specific HP monochrome printers see http://hp.care/2nYUthf

Works perfectly with my HP color printer, but these cartridges are not cheap, and HP knows it. Still, the quality is great and they install with no effort whatsoever.

The 201A toner for my HP Laser printer has always been a reliable cartridge. As a former IT Support Technician, there's a good reason to always obtain OEM. While this becomes more of a business reason ("smart toner cartridge via chip") I've never had an OEM HP laser cartridge fail as a new-in-box cartridge. I do not trust overseas refills and have seen reviews where color is off. I'd rather pay more for quality and reliability.

Very good quality toner at what I suppose is a reasonable price. No chipping or fading from any of the documents that I've printed. And the older printer I have doesn't completely disable itself when you run low on ink, which beats the pants off of HP's subscription model. Plus, they include a pre-printed label to send your old toner cartridge back for recycling. Yeah, I know the price of that is built into the cartridge (kind of like paying 5 cents for a soda bottle only to get it back when you turn it in), but it's still a feel-good move and I'm happy to send the old one back.

We never had a problem using genuine HP toner cartridges on our HP printer. They result in even print color on each page; & are easy to install. They are more expensive than generic brands but worth the cost to get the quality.

Awesome quality toner cartridge. Easy to install and easy to use. A must for my printer because that is what it takes. A bit expensive, but it lasts a good long time.

Fit printer, works great, lasts a great deal of time. Since I can only use this with my printer, I will certainly buy again in spite of the high cost.

HP original toner replacement cartridge yellow 201A. always go with the odriginal but these are getting harder and harder to find in store rather than online. Also ordering thoujgh Best Buy is more costly than direct from HP. Package it came in was damaged but product packaging inside that package was not damaged.

I prefer these over after market options, even though they are a bit more expensive. Note: Do not automatically replace them when your printer gives you low toner indicator. That's determined by preset copy count. Wait until you start to notice your color beginning to fade. You can get 1000 more copies out of it this way, as not all colors are utilized at the same rate per print job.

The toner cartridge arrives well packed and comes out effortlessly from its plastic container. It is easy to install as well, open the front cover of the printer, slide out the cartridge tray, pull up the old cartridge from the cartridge tray and drop in the new one. The color is good. How long will the toner last? That remains to be seen.
