Customers express satisfaction with the touch screen, ease of use, performance, lightweight design, and battery life of the ENVY x360. Many appreciate the value for the price and ample memory. However, some users cite a limited number of USB ports and concerns about the hard drive's reliability as drawbacks. The size of the laptop was also a point of contention for some customers.

I hardly use this PC as I find it ridiculously filled with un-necessary apps that makes the computer Sooooooooooo Slow. Until I finish removing the annoyances it will contiune to sit. I especially hate that the user pretty much has NO control on Windows Update along with Cortana just keeps on running even though I selected the option for it NOT TOO.

Immediately after purchase, I've had phantom touch issues near the top of screen when using laptop and being online. Laptop opens other applications and/or URL's from favorite bar without any clicks with mouse or touches on screen. Geek Squad confirmed this after review and laptop is currently in for service after having it only 3 weeks.

I bought this HP model a few days ago and so far I don't have any major complaints. I would rather give this review a 4.5 out of 5 stars, but so be it. In the last few days I have been personalizing the laptop to my tastes and setting, and putting all my data from my previous laptop. In those few days I have to say, the computer (the HP Envy x360 with 12GB Ram and 1 TB hard drive for those who may be afraid that I am a robot) has worked like a champ. Not only have I been able to transfer the my videos/pictures/documents/etc faster than ever before thanks to the two USB 3.0 ports but I was still able to smoothly surf the internet and watch youtube/netflix while doing so. This computer comes with a USB C port which I have yet to utilize so I can't say anything there. It does still come with an HDMI output and an SD card reader, and for me that is a huge plus. Not having am optical drive is a bit of a nuisance, but since I download m99 percent of my programs now I will live without. One bonus to not having an optical drive is that is does ramp up the battery life. I haven't fully tested the battery yet, but so far so good. Even putting this laptop through above average paces (transferring files, installing updates and programs) I have gotten a solid 3 hours before going under 50% battery life. When it comes to laptops I don't care whether the screen flips around to become a "tablet" or if it is a touch sensitive screen either. So the fact that this model has both abilities is something I don't particularly care for. Because the screen does have the ability to bend all the way back does create my one, main issue. The screen can wobble a bit, but only if it is truly jarred. If you have the laptop firmly placed on a table or desk or in a sturdy location you should be fine. But a counter point to that issue is this. The back-lit keyboard. How I have desired to see this on mainstream PC laptops since first seeing it on the Macs. To me, it is gorgeous. It helps so much and the tech has come so far that it barely even sips at the battery. One other great thing about this laptop is the cooling design. Mac, for a long time were great when it came to keeping their laptops cool, and running efficiently. The cooling system on this HP may not be as good as Mac, but it is up there. Putting this thing through it's paces, it has managed to be quieter and cooler than every other laptop I have owned. One other major gripe I have read (when researching this laptop) was that the speakers weren't that great. This, honestly, is of little consequence to me. If I am listening to any music, for a long period of time on the laptop, then I am either using my Skull Candy Hesh 2 bluetooth headphones (or wire them in directly) or even basic wired headphones. And the sound is amazing. And depending on what you are trying to do with the on board speakers, they are still good for mid and high range. And finally, the overall size and weight. One of the things I loved about my last laptop was that is was 0.95 inches thick and just under five pounds. This HP Envy dwarfs that (in laptop terms) at 0.7 inches thick and just under 4.8 pounds, it is a modern marvel...to me anyways. I am going to say I would recommend this to a friend but I will add an addendum here. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mid range laptop. Not a low end, 400 dollar laptop that will be obsolete in a year, and not someone looking for a 1300 dollar gaming laptop, and definitely not someone looking for the Macbook Pro (granted that is originally what I wanted.) But if you have a decent amount to spend, and you do still want power and agility in your laptop, I would recommend this one.

Hp lap top is poorly designed we have a HP stand-alone that is fine. Laptop has very small font on comma, period, etc. security cable slot is too close to on switch. Power port is too close to a port. Hinge is weak, near $900. When being carried the exposed on switch is easy to accidents turn on/off. My Mac Pro is a Cadillac compared to this piece of junk.

I came to Best Buy bought this laptop for a hard drive crash.. gave them the benefit of the doubt and got another one. One day later same issue. This computer isn't ready to be on shelves and is a waste. I would stay away from it to prevent multiple trips for new computers

I had an experienced computer person help me with windows 10 email.
We each saw a list of the contacts once and could not get them again.
When I type in the name of the person I'm sending to less then half of their names or email addresses appear. I am unable to forward messages to people I want to that was in my windows live mail.

Had less than 75 minutes on it and had to take it back 3 weeks after purchase, the cooling fan went out.Only wanted to exchange it,they said 15 days was all I had to return it. Upset about it,cause I'm expecting more problems down the road.Geek squad was very helpful getting it out and fixed.Picking up today, will see how it go's.
