    Never printed color and died after 18 months

    Not recommended. It never printed color properly, it printed weird color splotches all over the prints and HP couldn’t resolve the issue. Since I mostly printed b/w I gave up on that. Now, after 18 months it doesn’t work at all. It’s displaying an error that the fan needs to be replaced. Given that it only prints monochrome anyway it’s going to be cheaper to just replace it. Wasted $300 on this thing.

      Hi Christina,

      I'm tremendously sorry that the printer was not printing color properly and eventually stopped working entirely after only 18 month. I can completely understand how disappointing this must be, and I want to assure you that it's far from the reliability we pride ourselves on.

      The problem could be caused by a printhead issue. Also, using non original ink cartridges greatly affects the longevity of the printhead itself, due to the poor quality of the ink components. For this reason, we strongly suggest to use only original HP cartridges for our printers.

      If you have only used original HP cartridges, I do hope you'll consider reaching out to us for support one more time so we can arrange for a replacement despite the fact you are out of the warranty period.

    Doesn't work well w/Quickbooks

    Quite a bit of my time is spent printing checks through Quickbooks for our business and several non-profits. Unfortunately, the printer does not work with an individual check . It will print the check, but won't spit it out so have to open the back and dig it out. Also, when that happens, it refuses to print anything afterward until I turn off the printer and restart it. That is just too much time-consuming hassle.

    This is a great color printer. Toner is expensive, but that's the nature of most all printers.

    Small office or single person using, this is a great starter color laser printer. Only minor issue is, low capacity, holds only 250 sheet
