I've had HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 and passed it to my family and purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 as my new replacement printer. It's easy to set up, has Instant Ink cartridges for auto-auto-replentishment at a lower cost as an option to save money on ink. I've used printing and scanning with no issues. Prints 2-sided with no issues. Easy setup for WiFi with WPA. Overall a great value.

I purchased this printer to replace one that was eating my money because of the ink replacements. With this printer I was able to enroll in the HP Instant Ink program. Based on the number of pages I print in a month I pay a fee each month and they send me a new set of cartridges reducing my ink expenses. The printer is designed for small offices, but I use mine in my home and so far very happy with the results.

I love this new upgrade. I was so happy can print from my phone. The setup was so easy.

I'm upgrading to this from the original 8600. Compared to the original 8600: Print quality appears very close. I can't visually tell a difference between the two. Speed appears to be about the same, not a huge improvement. Not much of a difference in terms of noise. I paid a lot more for the original 8600, so that's a plus. Ink cartridge changed! Why, HP? What am I going to do with all of my old cartridges? Also, ink cartridges used to have a bay on the left side that's stationary with the old model. Now it's on the print head and it moves back and forth. I don't know for sure, but this doesn't seem like a smart idea as the ink head is heavier and constantly moves back and forth. I don't know if that's going to wear out the gears of the print head more or not, but it certainly made the process of changing out the cartridge a bit more cumbersome. Scanning function appears to be similar. The LED screen is smaller than my old 8600, but it's not a big deal as you can manage most of the functions OK with the smaller screen and you can still use a browser to change most of the settings. I haven't used it long enough to know whether the ink lasts as long as my old 8600, and I don't really trust most manufacturer's report on pages per cartridge as they're often times skewed with lots of asterisks. Overall it's still a good printer.

Set up was easy and the unit performed as expected from the start. I was able to scan, fax and print documents immediately.

Our family all chipped in and bought this printer as a gift for my sister in law. I own the previous model, HP 8600 and have been very happy with it's performance. HP's on-line support is excellent too. I have down loaded and have used their free printer/scanner repair application and can a test to the fact it works very well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking to purchase all in one printer.

My wife and I were shopping for a new printer to replace our old one. We owned a Canon for the last 10 years, and intended on buying another one due to reliability. We decided to go with HP because of their instant ink program. It is much cheaper than spending $60 - $70 on ink alone. If Canon had a program like this, there is no doubt that we would have bought another one. So far we have no issues or complaints with this printer.

Just what you expect from HP: easy to set up and produces great documents.

I have always purchased HP products because I like the quality of the printing and the ease of using the machine for copying faxing and emailing. The HP OfficeJet Proj8710 has proven once again why I purchase only HP products, I love the machine and recommend it to anyone looking for a small home printer for all your needs.
