The Hp Omen 15.6 Laptop with Intel Core I7, is a wonderful gaming laptop. It comes with 8gb Memory that can be upgraded. As well as the Nvidia Geforce Gtx 960m - 1tb Hdd + 128gb Ssd card. The Intel Core i7 processor provides lightning-fast response times, and the 1TB hard drive is enough for all your favorite games and apps with room to spare for music and video files. This HP OMEN notebook has a full-size powerful backlit keyboard for fast, easy typing in dark or light. I can't complain one bit with this powerful workhorse!

Bought a upgrade laptop as I broke the screen on my $250 laptop
that I mainly used for taking to the cabin and viewing my Deer trail camera cards.
The desktop is time being taken up at home by 2 kids in college classes..
SO I bought a gaming laptop to play
World of Tanks & World of Battleships on. Have played a few times
and have had NO problems (over wifi) screen quality seems to be GOOD but desktop is a couple years old..
Downloading trail camera SD card seemed to FLY compared to my old & much cheaper laptop.

It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst, I wanted the upgraded model but it wasn't in stock and I was stuck in a hotel room for 3 weeks. This does the job very well. About 4 hours of battery life, has a bit of bloatware but you can easily disable that. It keeps up with my 3 year old desktop I built a few years ago pretty well, some minor bog downs if you have too much going.
Since there isn't a disk drive, there's not a backup disk, I highly recommend getting an external with your purchase of this.
I would have given it a 5 star but it lost a star due to bloatware

My daughter is happy with the Omen. She says that it runs fast and better than her Mac. Great product for a college student and gamer.

I needed to buy a new laptop because my old one was on its last leg. I initially thought about a Mac; however, after researching laptops and talking to the sales person I decided to try this laptop out. Mainly because it had way more memory and space compared to the Mac and they were basically the same price. So far i love the laptop. It is easy to use and really lightweight even though it is a bigger laptop. I have not used it a great deal but I do really enjoy it and I am happy with my purchase.

The laptop does everything I want it to. I often have 3 or 4 programs open at once and multiple tabs open in Chrome, and I don't experience any slowdown in processing. The red backlighting on the keyboard is something I wasn't to sure about when I bought the laptop, but I've found that I really like it, makes it easy to use in the dark.

Overall, it's a good laptop: it runs console quality games like nothing, it runs programs like nothing, and of course your basic computer needs. What I really like most about this laptop is its battery life and the appearance: up to an 8 hour battery life and the appearance doesn't shout GAMER. The downside, however, is that it doesn't have an optical drive. So, unless you're not much of a disc user or your okay with carrying a separate optical drive with you everywhere you go then this laptop is for you.

My first impressions were great. The SSD provides you a new experience while using a PC. The Graphics card is good, but do not expect to run every new releases in maximum/60fps, it will not happen. It is excellent for casual gaming and "OK" for hardcore gaming.
The only complainment i have about this laptop is that it keeps freezing sometimes and showing me the "blue screen of death", wich is very annoying, but i'm pretty sure it can be fixed and that it's not a hardware issue at all.

I was looking for a Gaming Laptops for quite a while, and did lot of research on brands and specs of laptop. I ended up getting this HP Omen laptop for a great price. Laptop is good, fast startup(7-8sec), doesn't sound too loud when Gaming, Lightweight for everyday use, cool look and great performance.
Available to upgrade SSD or RAM on this laptop.
ATT: Make sure to save all software and apps on your HDD so you won't have your SSD filled up right away.
Happy with it so far.

I was looking for a laptop that would handle gaming well without paying an arm and a leg. So far this laptop has performed very well. It starts up very quickly and handles pretty demanding games well. Doesn't get too hot either. I would recommend.

I have been playing WoW expansion on this and have not had any problems with lag or freezing. Very responsive keypad. I do have to use a laptop cooler with it as it will get very hot otherwise. Has a dedicated graphic card and have not had a major issue with lag. Sometimes in world boss or raid it will lag a little but only for a second or two.

The only thing I was disappointed in, and which I was not aware of the need fro given the "newness" of the technology was the size of the solid state memory. 128 Gb is not adequate since the Windows 10 operating system and the basic Office package took almost half of that leaving just 70 GB or so for other software. If I was to do over, I would get at least 256 GB solid state and if I couldn't find a hard drive for other documents and photos, would go to an external hard drive. Note that I already had an external CD/DVD drive and optical mouse so I didn't need to purchase those to make a usable platform.
