I’ve really enjoyed using this laptop. It runs smoothly, starts up quickly, and the large touchscreen is clear and responsive. I especially love the 2-in-1 design because I can easily switch between laptop and tablet mode. The battery life is good, and it handles my schoolwork, browsing, and everyday tasks without any problems. It also looks sleek and feels well made. Definitely worth the purchase, and I would recommend it!

Got it for a great deal when it was marked down during Black Friday; Further marked down because it was an open-box item. The laptop has worked without a hitch for university level workloads. Laptop ran without a hitch running MATLAB and Keysight ADS circuit software, all while listening to Spotify and having a few browser tabs open. I think most people that aren't expecting professional-grade performance will be more than happy with the Ryzen 6-core and 16 GB of RAM. While you may be able to find some more budget-oriented laptops for $100-150 cheaper with similarly performing specs, the jump in build and screen quality is a worthwhile upgrade. My only concern for the laptop is the implementation of AI features. As far as my understanding goes, the neural processing unit (NPU) is used for some extraneous tasks like blurring your background in a video call or creating closed captions. I ended up disabling the NPU in task manager, freeing up over 1 GB of reserved RAM. Given that the RAM is not upgradable, the NPU coupled with Windows 11 tend to drift into the >80% usage region in task manager. No laptop is perfect, but this laptop performs very well for the money. I would recommend this laptop if you're a student or someone that just wants a nice Windows laptop for everyday tasks with a little more oomph on reserve.

The laptop provides great flexibility with its 2-in-1 feature and with a 16 inch screen and excellent hd display. The keyboard has good click and the speakers are okay. Also the battery life is pretty good. The only drawback is the weight being about 4 pounds. But overall great laptop.

I purchased the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 (16", AMD Ryzen AI 5 340, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) on 02/14/26 from the Flowood store, and I’ve honestly been really impressed with it so far. One of my favorite features is the 2-in-1 flip design. The ability to completely fold it back into tablet mode is incredibly convenient, especially when I’m switching between typing assignments and just browsing or reading. It feels versatile without sacrificing performance. I primarily use this laptop for school and working from home, and it handles both effortlessly. Whether I’m running multiple tabs, working on assignments, or managing day-to-day tasks, it has more than enough power and capacity. The 16GB of memory really makes a difference with multitasking. The 16” 2K touchscreen is another highlight—everything looks sharp and clear, and the touch functionality is smooth and responsive. It just feels like a premium experience overall. If I had to sum it up, this laptop is a great balance of performance, flexibility, and design. It’s perfect for anyone who needs something reliable for productivity but also wants the convenience of a convertible device. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this laptop, it has everything you will need for your first semester. Not to crazy with the extras but also not to limited. Touch screen make clicking faster. 16 in screen is a wonderful size for everyone. Battery life long enough to get your studies done. Battery does tend to get warmer then standard so try to keep that in mind when in use of environment.

The HP OmniBook X 16" with 16GB RAM and the Ryzen AI chip is an excellent choice for school. It’s fast, efficient, and handles multitasking with ease, whether you’re running multiple tabs, editing documents, or streaming lectures. The large display makes studying and creative work comfortable, while its slim design and solid battery life make it convenient to carry around campus. A great blend of performance, portability, and value for students.

The laptop itself has good build quality, good speakers, a big track pad, and great battery life; however that's as far as the complements go for me. There's no gap between the keys and despite being a 16" laptop, the keyboard lacks a numpad. It's very easy for crumbs to get stuck underneath the keys and not easy at all to get out. The laptop gets surprisingly hot during normal web browsing. The mouse cursor is not smooth at all while browsing. The screen has several unevenly lit areas. On the topic of the screen, it's too heavy for the hinges. Whenever I open the laptop screen past ~120°, the screen begins to slowly drop down under its own weight. It's not ideal for working on while on one's lap. When I first booted up the laptop, the screen did not post. I'll be returning this laptop and searching for another. It'll be enough for schoolwork, but not great for much past that. For $400 I'd say it's worth it, but I wouldn't spend any more than that.

The best 2 in 1 flip experience from the most reliable laptop brand names out there. This laptop has served me as a productivity master piece. The 2 in 1 makes it so that I don’t have to consider getting a tablet as this more than enough makes up for it. I have been consistently using it for graphics design with a Metapen 2 which works with 4092 pressure points. My daily productivity and university tasks requiring AI were handled smoothly so definite packed on the processor side. The poly studio speakers are something that I can’t complain about at this price point as it more than makes up enough for its price, should definitely consider playing around with an equalizer as they are decent for music and movies. The laptop is on the heavier side for something so thin but it is to be expected at this level of engineering. The display albeit being an IPS panel does a very good job representing the colors accurately, the only drawback is missing the deep blacks of an OLED, but at this price point this the best built 2 in 1 laptop.

It's been 8 years since I bought a new laptop. And still HP does well with design, screen and affordability. The display is top notch with 2k touch screen and able to fold it 360 degree. I also like the camera and you have shutter to close or open it. Keyboard keys are slightly big but I'm used to it now and it's an AI powered laptop, so it makes your daily tasks easy to complete with less effort using separate Copilot button. AMD Ryzen perform very well as I expected. With this processor I am able to play some casual games, but not recommended for gamers. Overall I really like this laptop and under $500 it's definitely value for money.

My daughter and I love our devices. For what it’s worth, it’s definitely fast, clear, and easy to use. This is the best laptop I have had so far.

Touchscreen, fast, the size I needed. I was slightly hesitant because of the keyboard is a bit different. I made a lot of typing errors until I figured out going back to basics and using the little bumps on F and J to guide my hands. Now it’s awesome.

The HP Omnibook X Flip has amazing built quality, battery life, and display quality. What I dislike is the weight of the laptop. The Laptop stays cool under heavy loads of tasks such as keeping muliple tabs and browsers open, Word Documents, and other applications.

I am very happy with this laptop. The learning curve from my last HP laptop was not at all difficult. One thing I didn't realize (my bad) until I got it home is that it doesn't have a number keypad on it. I am usually docked, so not a huge issue, but when I'm traveling I am sure it will be a challenge.

I needed a high-performance machine with plenty of RAM, a powerful processor, and a good-quality display—and this laptop delivers on all fronts. The 16GB RAM and fast Ryzen processor handle everything smoothly, from browsing with multiple tabs to running several apps at once. I’ve been using it for over a week now and I’m very satisfied with the overall performance. The touchscreen is also very responsive, and I really enjoy using it. The only downside is the battery life—it works fine but could definitely last longer.

I was needing a new laptop for college and I found this HP laptop on sale for about $450. I had gift cards also so I got this laptop for about $420! This laptop is 100% worth it at this price. My only complaint is my fault which is feeling slightly laggy when having many tabs open. The build quality and speed is soooo good. 4.5/5

I’ve been using it for a few months now and it is a really good computer. I can see what people were saying about it being kind of heavy but other than that it’s very sturdy both as a tablet and as a regular functioning computer and it has really nice quality sound. I will say it does have two speakers on the side and on the back and from my experience whenever I flip it into a tablet, the sound of it gets kind of muffled, depending on how far back it goes because it doesn’t always switch to the other speakers like it’s supposed to.

This laptop has been awesome so far! My wife uses it daily for work, and she absolutely loves how fast it runs and how easy the setup was right out of the box. The screen is bright and clear, the keyboard feels comfortable, and battery life easily lasts through her entire workday. Great value and performance — highly recommend!
