Like other users have reviewed, when I powered this laptop off and powered it on in the morning it substantially lost battery each night. Also the shift key was difficult to click on. I only had a rate of success of about 60% when clicking on the shift key to capitalize letters. Not nearly as good of a keyboard experience as my old Lenovo. I ended up taking it back to the store and swapping it for a Lenovo 4D. Very happy with that laptop.
On a plus note, the laptop is lightning fast and powers up quickly. I really wish you didn't have those two issues. Otherwise, I would've given it five stars.

HP Spectacular!

The HP Spectre 13.3 inch 2 in 1 laptop is AMAZING! One can truly glean right off the bat this is one of HP’s top of the line products by the packaging that it arrived in. The box is nicely decorated in black with Spectre written in gold which in my opinion represents first class! Firstly, the setup process of this product was easy and rapid. After inputting standard information such as location, time and identification the Windows 10 operating system recognized and pulled over pertinent information from a few applications that I have on my other PCs that operate from the Windows environment. I applaud engineers for upgrading this technology and making the computer setup process a little more user friendly as well as time consumable for people.
*PERFORMANCE
Let’s start with “under the hood” where performance counts! The Spectre operates on 256GB (SSD) solid state drive and this is very much prevalent because the computer boots up and shuts down at blazing fast speeds. Additionally, the Spectre can handle multiple windows in operation without any delays.
*SOUND
The Spectre has wonderful sound thanks to the speakers manufactured by Bang & Olufsen who has a long history of producing acoustic perfection. I watched several movies and the sound and picture clarity were second to none! Moreover, I listened to some songs and again the sound was impeccable!
*FLEXIBILITY
The Spectre offers four designs tablet, tent, laptop and stand. My first preference is laptop because I write a lot and this style is very comfortable for me. However, tablet mode feels very comfortable for me as well. I must note this is the first PC that offers this mode that I have found to be comfortable. The overall weight of this laptop is not heavy at all! I applaud HP for manufacturing a product that offers great portability.
*TANGIBLES
The Spectre has a backlit keyboard that I LOVE! I turned the lights out in order to experience how typing would be in an environment with little to no lighting and the lighting was wonderful. Also, the keys are comfortably spaced out which make typing easy and efficient. The touch screen feels easy to the touch and it operates smoothly. The picture color (1920X1080) and clarity are wonderful with rich vibrancy. The screen is very clear as such the lighting is easy on the eyes. I found that print is easily readable thus making letter recognition easily recognizable.
*CON
The only con that I have regarding the Spectre is that only 1 USB port is accessible along with a USB C port. I wish it were one additional USB port, which would offer more flexibility because most users have and need multiple accessories for their computers.
I highly recommend the Spectre X360 to anyone who wants to invest in a dependable laptop that has a fast processor that can accommodate and meet multiple demands. There is an old adage that says, “You get what you pay for” well this holds to be a truth with the Spectre, you’ll be getting a silver beauty that has beauty but lots of brain power!!!

As a nearby label may indicate, I received this product as a member of the Best Buy Technical Insiders Network free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
The reviewed unit is an i7, 13" 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM unit.
Out of the box, I was really impressed with the way that HP packaged this unit. It came with its own leather sleeve for storage, and was encapsulated within a black box that was shrink-wrapped.
Upon opening the packaging, the thing looked almost exactly like a MacBook Pro; you would've been fooled except for the modified, high-tech logo that HP now uses on their products. This thing is thin, very thin. And while the aluminum (or whatever) finish is very forward-thinking, be aware that you will have to deal with minor scratches and fingerprints (obviously a function of the materials being used, not so much the quality of the machine).
Overall, an excellently responsive machine. Any more, you almost have to get a solid-state drive, as whether you're dealing with Windows or macOS, the drive is almost always going to be the main bottleneck in slowing things down. The multi-touch screen and mouse pad both picked up on what have come to be expected as standard gestures.
The only quibble I have with the machine is that when the CPU starts heating up, a fan on the left side of the unit turns on (it is definitely heard in what is otherwise a completely quiet machine) and the intake vent is spread across the bottom of the machine. On Windows 10 setup, the fan certainly came on, and for a bit of time the machine grew rather warm. However, once I got the machine set up the way I wanted it, things cooled down quite noticeably.
The only bloatware that came on the machine was McAfee anti-virus (which I promptly removed). I continue to praise companies like HP who maintain a reasonably lean initial software load on their laptops.
Also, HP has converted their power plug terminations to USB-C on the laptop (this unit has two such female connectors). While this will help to future-proof the device, be aware that there may not be many replacements in the marketplace in the event that you lose or break the power cord.
Except for the 13-inch screen (which some will no doubt feel is too small for them), I'd say this is definitely a laptop to beat in the marketplace. It's packaged well (very much like Apple does their packaging), looks absolutely modern, and is packed with enough tech to keep you ahead of the curve for the next few years.
This is your Apple replacement laptop :)

I should be able to use the coupon on this computer, but the assistant said I can not. Then I purchase the computer and pick up in a different store, which take me so long. The computer was not good as I expected, something can not go online and sometime does and many other problem. This made me want to return the computer and it is so expensive.

This is an utterly fantastic laptop. Despite its razor thin design and feather weight, it sports great build quality with a metal chassis and solidly engineered hinge design. Zero lag performance is delivered via its Core i7 processor and SSD. HD screen looks amazing, sound quality is loud and clear (albeit a bit light on bass), and battery life is more than sufficient. Zero complaints here. Amazing machine.

If you are looking for a light weight, multifunctional and great processor speed laptop then HP Spectre x360 is the best in the class. The overall finishing and keyboard is something you wont get it in another laptops. The sound quality is exceptional and battery life is almost 8 hours. Initially it will be uncomfortable to operate in tablet or tent mode. Value for money. It is a perfect laptop for school purpose and office too.
I received a sleeve and screen cleaner which is required to protect the system.

Hoped to give HP a shot after keyboard issues with my work laptop. Store model worked great and was excited bexause of sleek formfactor. Worked ok for the first 24 hours then the touch screen started clicking everywhere making it impossible to use. Strike 3 HP. Will be another 10 years before I even consider one of your products for my personal use.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box; this item was well packed, and had some very nice features, like a screen guard between the keys/screen, a leather like pouch to carry it around with, and it is a very sleek, modern looking product.
Upon setting it up, I was impressed with the nicely back lit keys, the surprisingly good Bang/Olufsen sound, and the screen was also very nice!
The only minor disappointment is that to use it as a "tablet", you fold the screen all the way back, and the hardware keyboard stays attached to the unit; I would have preferred a completely detachable keyboard, but this wasn't too bad to handle together.
All in all, this is a nice, powerful, good looking unit, with a I7 processor, very thin and sleek looking, and I would definitely recommend checking this out if you are looking for a "Apple Air" like laptop/hybrid!

The HP Spectre X360's design is incredible. The aluminum body is very appealing and wonderful to look at. It isn't the lightest is a tad bit heavier than my Mac book Air, but I can still carry it around just about anywhere.
I have the 13.3 model, so so it is easier to transport from school to work. I have used it for taking notes, writing an essay, and various other activities. The touch screen capability makes it much easier to maneuver when you have to scroll through a document or page. This is a must when you are in college, as you find yourself having to go back and maybe edit, or add a note somewhere.
Just like pretty much all new laptops, you have no HDMI ports or disc drive. You have two USB-Type C ports, so you'll have to buy adapters if you wish to connect to a HDMI, VGA, etc... You do get a USB 3.0 connection, which calls for faster data transfers. Adapters can be found for around $30, so it can get expensive if you are looking to use various connections methods.
What I do like about this laptop is how versatile it is. The ability to turn it into a tablet really comes in handy when you are limited in space. You can also stand the display to allow you to watch movies, or even for reading. Another big plus is the Bang & Olufsen audio. This makes the sound quality so much better whenever you're in the mood for some music, or watching a movie. The keyboard has a back-light display that can be turned off and on. The display is also great, so it truly is a multi tasking laptop built for all types of use. The laptop also comes with a very nice looking sleeve for storage and transportation. I've already put it to good use.
One thing I did notice this morning is that the computer froze on initial startup. It uses facial recognition, and as it was doing so, the screen became frozen on the welcome screen. I had to do a hard restart and it finally worked. Another thing that I noticed immediately was that some of the commands were slow to respond, or just unresponsive. I guess that is why I did away with PCs and went for Macs.
The computer comes equipped with the latest version of Windows 10, which is much easier to work with. I know that there are some people that just absolutely hate Windows 10, but it isn't that bad. For the price, you would think it would come equipped with Microsoft software, but it doesn't. You get a free trial, but that's about it. You will have to spend some more money to get the software.
In all, the HP Spectre x360 is a beautifully designed laptop with lots to offer. The price is a little on the steep side, but if you aren't a Mac fan, this would definitely work for you. You have access to their app store as well, so there are tons of things that you can do with this laptop.
