Overall, this has been a great experience for me. I havent owned a laptop since 2011 and Im sooo amazed at how much better they are. Lighter, faster, smarter, more options. Love it! The only negative thing is that the light up keyboard does not have the capability of dimming. I also notice when i use the light on the keyboard or I have to use wifi, the battery doesnt last long. Otherwise, i really do like this laptop. It seems to be built well, solid and not flimsy.

After tweaking it a little bit without adding ram i got 300 fps looking up in a creative map. It has really good graohics if you optimize stuff like the nvidia control panel if you want even more fps i would recommend buying more ram. But right now i run about 120-160 fps in game with it capped l. I definitely recommend this laptop if you were looking to stream while playing your going to need to upgrade the ram first. Overall great laptop I see myself using this for a few years.

Absolutely love this laptop. The performance is smooth, fast, and perfect for playing The Sims (and other games too). Load times are quick, and the graphics look amazing with the RTX 3050. This laptop is great for the price. My old computer struggled to run graphically intense games, and this one just breezes through them. My few issues with this laptop are that it's battery life isn't great (but what can you expect from a gaming laptop), that it doesn't charge with usb-c but this issue isn't too bad, and that it only has 8gb of ram, but I upgraded this for only about $80.

Easy to set up and great for a beginner. Was told I couldn't install more ram but that was incorrect. We bought 16 GB of ram and installed it. Works great. Great bang for your buck entry level gaming laptop. We have been able to play AAA titles with no issues. Workers were trying to tell us not to get it and that we weren't able to buy ram for it. There is an empty slot where you can install more. It configured automatically. We had an initial issue with being sold a refurbished one as a brand new one. Luckily we caught it and were able to take it back as we were charged full price when it was an open box returned one. Manager couldn't find the 1 they had left. An employee was able to locate it right where it said it was. We felt we were being played at first. But the worker that helped us thank you for finding it. My son was very happy. Graphics and everything are great for a first time PC gamer. The only downside is the battery life. However he plays it on his desk so he can plug it it when needed.

Good overall laptop, not enough RAM, thankfully it comes with two slots and are very easy to upgrade, battery life leaves something to be desired, but it runs most applications perfectly

I play a fair amount of video games and this computer runs everything that I need easily and well WITH ONE NOTE: this laptop only comes with 8GB of RAM, which is not enough to run more than the basics. Just letting the computer sit there with nothing running uses 7.6GB. That said, it has another slot, so you can easily get another stick of RAM and add it to the 8 (I got a 16GB stick so I have 24GB now). Of course it also runs anything for schoolwork or officework easily as well. The price was very good for me and for what it is, but it was on sale for me. Overall, I would totally recommend! I love this laptop and it works very well.

Bough this for $540 brand new, by far one of my best purchases. Upgraded it next day with a 16GB stick for $40 and since it run perfectly. The ram is necessary tho, because without upgrading the 8gb are always capping and cut your fps in half, but with the ram I can not complain. It also came with 3 months of Gamepass.

This makes a great laptop with Pop-OS installed. Windows sucks and attempting a clean install of windows was so frustrating it made me switch to Linux. The 3050 is more than enough for light gaming and the 13420H is more than up for it. A little heavy and power hungry but that is expected. For the price it was perfect. Good quality which I come to expect from HP. I rated everything as excellent from the perspective that it is a inexpensive gaming laptop. When setup with Linux it is much better than windows.

The HP Victus 15.6" works really well for gaming and everyday use. The screen is smooth with 144Hz, and games run nicely with the RTX 3050. It starts fast and looks good in silver. The only small issue is the 8GB RAM it’s better if upgraded to 16GB. Overall, a good laptop for the price.

The laptop runs super smooth and is pretty capable. I am able to run games like crusader kings and the Sims at full graphics. It has two fans so it can keep itself cool at the expense of extra noise.

Bangerrrrr. I reccomend this laptop for those who play optimized compact games. It definitely needs a RAM upgrade upon purchasing. Battery life is a little short but that's to be expected with a gaming laptop. Overall a great deal.

Pros- Bright screen, decent performance under light load, adequate number of ports. Cons- Battery life is not great, device gets hot under moderate load, frequently requires a restart, and occasional track pad malfunction. If you need something that will just get you on the internet and want to play some very light games, great device. Anything more than that and I would wait for a better device to go on sale. Overall exactly what you would expect from a laptop at this price-point.

Got this for my wife to play sims and HKIA. Super reliable. Runs her games smooth. Little loud but it makes up for it.
