I got this laptop for light video editing but it turns out that the 4VRAM is more than capable of medium/advance editing with no problem, I'm using Wondershare Filmora 12 with no issues whatsoever, one of the fist thing to upgrade on this laptop is the 8GB of RAM for 16 or 32 cause the 8GB will be maxed out on no time, I went with 2 sticks of 16GB KINGSTON FURY 16GB for a total of 32GB of RAM, one thing that I wasn't aware was that there is single and dual channel sticks of memory and the oem 8GB stick that the laptop comes with is a SAMSUNG 8GB 1Rx16 so I believe that is a dual channel, I honestly don't play games on the laptop but I'm sure that this will do great with whatever is thrown at this wonderful laptop, I did ran the CINEBENCH and I'm really happy with the results and I only wish that I knew about the dual channel memory sticks and for that is too late, I wanted to perform more test for those that wanted to see how this laptop does on games but this review only lets me upload 6 photos so there is no point for me to make game test like I did with CINEBENCH, one thing for sure and be advised that this laptop runs hot so keep an eye on it by going to the omen hub and turn on the fan at full speed every once in a while, you can go to GeForce Experience and NVIDIA control panel when you download the apps from the OMEN gaming hub that comes pre installed, it will not give you all the availability of options that you can change like if you had the RTX3050 or higher but you can change a lot of settings, I can assure you that the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS is plenty powerful and the RTX2050 is almost as good as the RTX3050 and with the DDR5 memory is a great combination, I got about 5-6 hours of battery when editing and the fan at full blast for 5 min at a time every once in a while when I thought that it was necessary, when the laptop is not using the fan at full blast is so quiet but when it is at full blast it sounds like a jet fighter is ready to take off but don't get me wrong cause is not that loud it just sounds cool at least for me, I wish that I could give a bit more feedback on the performance when playing games but I will just be lying and hyping up this laptop and I don't want to give any misinformation.

Incredible gaming laptop for its price. It does exactly what's expected of a gaming laptop. For only 8 gigs of RAM it handles games nicely and I absolutely love the backlit keyboard. The noise on the fans are relatively quiet on average game settings. However the fans do get louder with more GPU intensive games at higher settings with a stable 80fps. Finally, there's no issues with CPU based games, with VSync enabled it keeps games fixed at 144fps making proper use of the 144Hz refresh rate. I play on a hard flat surface for the best cooling, but the exhausts appears to be facing flat down, so for optimal cooling I may require a lifted angle for better airflow.

I recently purchased the HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop with the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor, 8GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card, and a 512GB SSD, all encased in a sleek Mica Silver finish. After spending some quality time with this machine, I'm thrilled to share my experience. Firstly, the design is both stylish and practical. The Mica Silver color gives it a premium look, and the build quality feels solid, suitable for both gaming marathons and everyday use. The 15.6" screen size strikes a perfect balance between ample viewing space and portability. Performance-wise, the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor coupled with 8GB of memory ensures smooth multitasking. As for gaming, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card is a real game-changer. It handles most modern games with ease, offering crisp and vibrant visuals. The 512GB SSD provides quick boot times and ample storage for games and other media. Another notable feature is the cooling system. It efficiently manages heat, keeping the laptop's performance stable even during intense gaming sessions. The keyboard is comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the backlit keys are a nice touch for late-night gaming. The battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, though it's always better to stay plugged in for optimal performance. Connectivity options are ample, with enough ports for all my peripherals. In conclusion, the HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop is a fantastic choice for gamers who seek a balance of performance, aesthetics, and value. It has exceeded my expectations and has become my go-to device for both gaming and daily tasks. For anyone in the market for a reliable, high-performing gaming laptop, I highly recommend considering the HP Victus.

    Great Laptop on Sale

I purchased this laptop for $499 when it was on sale, and I have to say that it is extremely fast and a small powerhouse. I did a lot of research on whether the 3050 is worth it over the 2050, and eventually decided that it was not and that I would go for this one. Buying an additional stick of ram for this is a must in my personal opinion, but the ram is extremely easy to install. That being said I have had this laptop for a couple of weeks now, and it is definitely expected to be a laptop that is meant to be plugged in for a majority of its life, as the battery really only lasts for about 3 hours while on the internet or browsing the web. Besides the battery though, I have no complaints, and with as strong of a system as it has built into its little body I didn't expect the batteries to last that long either way. The keyboard feels extremely nice, the laptop itself is very sleek looking (I've got lots of compliments on it!), and it is a great laptop to bring to school or to a business meeting because it is extremely quiet and runs everything extremely well. I have had exactly no issues with load time on anything that I've thrown at it so far.

Very good deal this laptop is. I bought it on sale and let me tell you for the amount of money I paid for it it's a killer. I game games like dota 2 and counter strike 2 so I don't really need 4090 rtx but this laptop has pretty good perfomance. It's optimized pretty good and looks stylish too. there is light under keys and the keyboard is very comfortable to use. all you need is 1 stick of ram and usb hub and you are good to go. maybe storage upgrade as well that's the only complaint I have is luck of storage since nowadays games take like 100gb

I bought this in September of 2023 and it's now March of 2024. I bought it for college and to play games in my free time. It has done perfectly for school, I'm not sure if anyone's school requires a Lockdown Browser but this computer supports it. it doesn't run high-intensity games like FPS well even on low graphics but it seems perfect for games like Terraria or Stardew Valley. The only problem I have is with the 2 fans at the bottom. They're both on one side which leaves the other side to heat up faster which is the problem it starts having with highly intense games that probably should be left for PC and console anyway. It has started getting hot sometimes during my school work but that's not often. I have not had it drop or get damaged really at all so I'm not sure about its durability with falls. overall, it has been a great laptop though! oh also, has a light-up keyboard!

I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with the Victus 15.6" laptop featuring the impressive 144Hz screen, AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS-8GB Memory NVIDIA FeForce RTX 2050- 512GB SSD-Mica Silver. The high refresh rate of the screen has completely transformed my gaming and viewing experience however if you’re used to a much bigger screen this can complicate things but if you have a monitor to hook up to with this laptop it comes with a hdmi cable and port for it supporting up to 4k, making everything incredibly smooth and fluid however I haven’t tried 4k gaming yet or 2K gaming on this yet be sure to check out my review videos about this on my YouTube channel. Streaming Live, The RTX 2050 GPU's I upgraded the RAM to 32GB and the performance is exceptionally Blazing fast! And handling demanding games and graphic-intensive tasks with ease most latest released games I’ve played I have gotten 60fps a couple of those games have been Diablo iv avg a smooth gameplay experience of 90fps and RDR2 avg 60fps (still tweaking settings). Paired with the powerful i5 13420H CPU, multitasking and overall system responsiveness are a breeze. This laptop strikes an excellent balance between performance and affordability, making it a fantastic choice for both gamers and content creators. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! Like most gaming pc’s and setups you will have to tweak graphics settings in order to achieve the fps and graphics quality you want. If you’re just wanting something that can play with a smooth 60fps constantly than this may be the laptop for you! Oh yeah Wait! The Microsoft performance and any other programs works so incredibly smooth. The Best Budget Computer you can ever have on your little fingers and Don't for get the keyboard lights up too, This is amazing for gaming, Schooling, Office and Content Creator, So far I have no complaints with this! Cheers! Hope this helps :))

Its a great laptop if you can get it on sale, although if you want to play graphic intense games, i'd recommend you use the laptop plugged into a wall. The battery will drain quickly and won't operate at peak performance if run strictly on battery power for games. Depending on how you hold the laptop, such as gripping the frontal corners from underneath, you may bend the lower chassis, which can click the trackpad from underneath. I got this at 40% off for $480, and its definitely a worth purchase. Also, ive been running elden ring on it (after upgrading the ram to 16gb, which i'd recommend) and it can run at 1080p on med/low graphics. It comes with a 144hz screen, which is nice to look at, but it could be better in terms of color.

I bought it in a sale offer. Performance is excellent. Great display. I haven’t upgraded the ram, but it is recommended if your playing heavy games. Not so heavy to carry. Only downside is sound quality. It is shown that Bang and ofulsan audio is equiped but I didn’t feel the sound that good. Very low avearge sound. Apart from it its a great device.

Purchased this laptop for the $550 sale price. It’s a steal at that price, and I recommend picking it up when it goes on sale if your budget can’t stretch further. I’ve only ran a few games so far, but the RTX 2050 has suited my games well. Persona 3 Reload runs at 120fps at 1080P, Metal Gear Solid V runs at a steady 60fps (there is a 60fps cap on this game) at high settings 1080P. Batman Arkham City hits and stays at its framerate limit at max settings 1080P. And, of course, the plethora of indie games I play, such as Hollow Knight, Ori and Cuphead run amazingly. The display could be brighter, and this model only ships with one 8GB stick of RAM, but that is an easy fix. I added a matching Samsung 8GB DDR5-4800, which only cost me $20.

We all know there’s two routes, windows or Apple. Though I have an iPhone when I think about gaming computers I don’t think Apple. My budget was around 800 for a laptop and all I planned was to run world of Warcraft and maybe some command and conquer. This laptop was on sale for 450. So I gave it a shot and I couldn’t be any happier. Zero performance hiccups, zero lagging. Thing runs like a clock. I bought an additional 8gb ddr5 from Samsung that matches the stock ram already on it for 30 bucks. And now with 16gb of ram the ram usage is only at 60% which is perfect. No the best display in the world nothing as good as a Samsung or Apple display but for 450 bucks I can’t complain. I got the 3 year warranty along with the laptop when I first purchased it so if anything goes wrong I can just let them figure it out

The HP Victus laptop featuring AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 delivers solid gaming and multitasking performance. Its sleek Mica Silver design houses a fast 512GB SSD for ample storage. The 15.6-inch display provides an immersive visual experience. However, with only 8GB of memory, it may benefit from an upgrade for optimal performance in demanding applications. Overall, it’s an appealing choice for those seeking performance and style at a reasonable price.

Great laptop so far, perfect for my needs. I am by no means a gamer, so I'm not picky about things like screen brightness or playing the latest games at the highest settings. I got this at the Black Friday sale price and it's everything I need it to be. Using it for standard office tasks, playing some old games from my youth (Max Payne, Half Life), and running some GIS software. The screen is a bit taller than any other laptop I've had, and I like that. This is probably my 5th HP laptop, and my first gaming laptop. Didn't purchase it because it's a 'gaming laptop' but moreso because I liked the specs at the sale price point. I would probably hesitate to buy at full price, not because it's not worth it but because I would probably look for a different model that's on sale, instead. In closing, I would recommend, definitely at a good sale price, maybe also at full price.

The laptop is fairly fast and the graphics are very good. The keyboard has switchable backlighting but it isn't dimmable. The keyboard track pad is a bit noisy sitting on a hard surface. Other than that, its a very nice laptop fairly thin and not too heavy either.

It is an excellent computer, it has very good performance, very good resolution, there is only one problem and it would be the space since it says that it has 512 GB but in reality it has 487 or close to that. Got on sale for $480. Solid laptop at that price, definitely needed RAM upgrade. With extra 32g of RAM runs as well as my $1500 custom built pc. Graphics card is all you need for most games so don’t worry about getting a higher end one. Main complaints are: Speakers are very quiet on max volume. Also lots of bloat ware and hate the way windows 11 required an email to set up the pc. Over all: The battery has a decent life 4-5 hours regular use way bette than my old one. I can use it for studying, coding, streaming, and playing higher demanding games. Doesn’t get too hot, and fans aren’t super loud. Over all I’m satisfied and would buy again if I went back in time and had the same sale price, but I definitely would not buy it at the full price.
