Customers often highlight the Hypervolt GO's ease of use, portability, and powerful performance, praising its compact size and lightweight design. Many appreciate the long battery life and the effectiveness of the massage for muscle relief. However, some customers wish it came with more attachments and find the noise level to be excessive.

Perfect for the price and size of it. Does as good as a job as the bigger version. A must for in-house or on the go use. My wife loves it too if you know what I mean ;) !

Lots of people have used personal massagers, and they’ve been around for decades. They come in many shapes and sizes, and vibrate to ease tension and pain throughout your body. But for a while there’s been a newer class level of these called “percussion massagers” or percussion guns. These have been used by sports therapy clinics for some time and athletes, but consumer models are now in the market. Enter the Hyperice Hypervolt Go. These types of massagers take things a few notches up, and rather than vibrating, they “thump” (hard, really) kind of like a hand-held jack hammer. You hold the tip with any variety of tip heads on it against your body, and it’s like getting a rapid deep tissue massage of sorts. The Hyperice Go is handheld, smaller and lighter than commercial models. It’s rechargeable, and within a couple of hours, it will hold enough charge to use it up to 2 ½ hours (on low) or slightly less time as you go to medium or high settings. It comes with an A/C charger and power plug attachments to use in other country’s outlets as well if you travel. A colored ring along the bottom pulses as it’s charging and turns solid when it’s on. You press the power button in for a couple of seconds to turn it on, and then quick presses will cycle it from low, to medium, and high. Two tips come with it – a flat head to cover a larger area, and a bullet shaped tip to pinpoint a very specific area. It is important to note, you should talk to your doctor before using one of these to make sure they’re safe for you and any medical conditions you may have. Once turning it on, always start on low, and target an area you may feel is tight, or in need of deep massage. This is again, NOT a regular massager. It’s strong. Even the low setting “thumps” you rapidly, and hard, in my opinion. Low was sufficient for anything I needed. Medium pushed limits and high was borderline painful to me in many areas, plus on high, the hand grip vibrates pretty strongly and becomes uncomfortable to hold after a few minutes if left at that setting. I have issues with my upper legs and hips and a few minutes using this properly did help ease the tension and pain. A friend used it in an area of his upper back where he has constant tension issues (also on low) and said it helped a good bit. Neither of us found the bullet shaped attachment comfortable and used the flat-head attachment more comfortably. Prolonged use did create a tingling sensation in the hands due to the heavy vibes – perhaps a bit more insulation in the handle would help this? The battery lasts as advertised if again, you keep it on low. This type of device is not for everyone, and while it’s more specifically aimed at athletic types, it could help others too. But once again, this is not a regular massager, and repeating, you should discuss what this is and exactly how you’d like to use it with your doctor before use, as improper use of this could do more harm than good. I give it 4 stars because it looks good, handles well, and does what it’s supposed to do. Since it’s a consumer model, I would have liked to have seem them put a low setting on it that’s even less strong than the low is on it now, though, and would have liked to have seen a couple more different types of attachments as seen in other models too, as it doesn’t come with a ball-shaped tip (as seen in most other models) which is also good for larger areas. For $199 (average) it’s for those who need it. You’ll know if you’re one of those people. Recommended.

This was a great investment. I’ve been using this product every day since early June on my lower back and on my right hip side. It has helped me a lot and better than having to take pills to kill the pain. This is a very powerful unit so I’m careful in using it. I give this product five stars, no regret

So far...its just ok. Its a little light weight for my taste. Cant really press down on it or it'll slow down. The on/off feature is annoying. Why can't they use the same switch as the larger model? I've used the Theragun option and I like that one better. I'll give it a week before I decide to exchange it.

This thing is awesome. THE GOOD ~ It comes with two different changeable heads ~ Portable ~ Ergonomic (built well to use on someone else's back) ~ Looks good ~ Rechargeable ~ Feels sturdy THE BAD ~ Charger THE MEH (could go either way) ~ weight I workout and run 6-7 days a week and so this baby comes in handy. It comes with two different heads, one is rounded and the other a flat disk. You can see them in the pics. The rounded head is great for a deep tissue massage, really getting into a muscle and working out a knot. The flat head is good for a general, feel-good massage where you just have those aches and cramps. It also works a little better on the neck and when crossing bones like the vertebrae and scapula. The force and speed are great. One thing I really like, too, is the shape. It is easier to hold and apply more pressure to someone's back (or whatever) because of design than many other massagers. The massager is a good size. It isn't too big to pack along for a trip--especially if you're going somewhere to run a marathon or mudder. I placed a pen on it in one picture to give a reference to size. It is a little heavy. I don't have a scale, but would guess a pound or a little over. I put that in the MEH because I think the weight helps functionality, but others may prefer something less sturdy feeling. The only thing I am not a fan of is the charger. I wish it were USB-C. Instead, it is a big block and proprietary charger. HOWEVER, it comes with multiple plug prong sets--so you can take this to Europe or elsewhere where the outlets are different and plug it in without needing an adapter. The plug part pops on and off so you can swap them out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

So most everyone has seen Hyperice and similar handheld massagers on the sidelines being used by professional athletes on the bench or sidelines, but the high price tag and concerns about effectiveness may have held you back from buying one. I’ve personally suffered from some sciatica and trigger point pain in my calf and my shoulder, partially due to working out but mostly because I work in IT and sit in front of a keyboard and screen all day. My Calf trigger point in particular would often lock up due to dehydration while I was sleeping and cause extreme pain, but also developing a knot buildup and nerve/muscle damage over the years. My calf always felt swollen and hot to the touch. The hyperice Go has been awesome with the bullet and flat head to help alleviate this persistent pain. The first time I used the hypervolt Go my calf hurt so much I couldn’t walk that well without tenderness, but after that it’s been much better and I’ve been able to massage daily and it’s made a huge difference. A few notes: -this unit lacks Bluetooth like the higher end offerings so the app is not much help -this unit has less power at 40w brushless motor vs 90w vs the higher end hyperice versions but for the difference in price you may not notice. -the heads are hard rubber rather than soft rubber, I wasn’t sure but they work great. -2.5 hour runtime seems accurate -build quality and comfort is excellent -be careful around your neck, spine and any bones. Doesn’t feel great on non muscle tissue but overall I his is a great device! -a different percussion cadence would’ve been nice instead of just 3 different speeds. The higher speeds don’t necessarily feel better than the first speed. Overall this is a great product for those who have chronic pain but also want some recovery and relief after doing a lot of homeowner DIY. I’m sure it would be great during softball season for this over the hill athlete as well!!!

    Hard Percussion Massage Device

About Hypervolt GO The Hypervolt GO by Hyperice is a battery-operated handheld percussion massage device. It’s a hold, point, and massage type of therapy with 3 settings to control the level of percussion. What It Comes With Hypervolt GO comes with the handheld massage device, an 18-volt charger, 3 power plug adapters, and 2 head attachments. The charger is specially made for the device, and a universal charger (per instructions) is not recommended. There is no carrying case included. Set Up Hypervolt GO is virtually ready to use out of the box. The instructions tell you to charge it upon opening, but there is some charge when unpacking. To use, insert the chosen attachment head and twist. Then apply the head to the area that you want to massage. There’s one button on the handle that turns the massager on/off or changes the setting. It’s a pretty simple set up. Features There are 3 settings that adjust how hard the massager will percuss (punch). In my opinion, all of them are pretty hard. I was surprised that there wasn’t a slower or softer setting. There are 2 heads for the device. The flat one spreads out the massage effect. The “bullet” head is used to concentrate on tension points. The charge is advertised to last for around 2.5 hours of usage. It did well when I tried it, but I didn’t use this for more than 15 minutes the first time. It is a pretty hard percussion, and the instructions say to use on an area for about a minute and move to a different area. There is an app for the Hypervolt GO. I’m not sure what it would do, and I will not be using it since it is only available on the App Store for Apple products. My phone is Android based, so I don’t have an option. My Thoughts Did I mention enough that this is a hard percussive device? I would not call this a relaxing massager. This is meant for tension knot therapy. It has warnings to not use it on “boney parts” of the body (specifically your head) and that Hypervolt GO can bruise you. If you do bruise yourself using it, it states to let the bruise heal before trying again. Due to the nature of its design, this is only good for whatever you can “point and shoot” at. If you want to use this for your back, you will need to find someone to help you. If you are looking for something like that Hyperice makes other products that you could check out. There was some vibration at the handle, but it wasn’t too jarring for me to hold. I do think that it should have come with a soft carrying case of some kind. It has 3 extra power plug adapters and 2 massage heads. I may keep the box so that I don’t lose them. I’m giving the Hypervolt GO 4 stars. It does what it is intended to do, but I think that it would be improved if it had slower speeds or softer settings. This product is not for everybody, but I believe it could include more folks with a couple of more gentle settings. A carry case would be helpful to keep things together. The feel and the quality appearance seems to be good.

I play golf and hold a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. Charge this up, plug in 1 of the 2 end options and hold button to turn in and press once. First level is a great entry level. Level 2 and 3 are too fast for me. Make sure to use the correct attachment for each muscle. Try not to lose the attachments also.

I didn't think that this massage device being so small would do the job of another one that I have that's 2 times bigger. It comes with 2 different massage heads. 3 speeds. Power cable. Very easy to use and hold. My arm didn't get tired while using it. I definitely can throw it my backpack and take it with me. It's pricey, but for all that it can do and the size, it's definitely worth it.
