MOST UNHELPFUL REVIEW - DONT READ

Coming from a wired cloud alpha pro, it was a decline in audio quality. You can expect that going to wireless, so it wasn’t a shocker to me. However, having OCD I’m all about being wireless. The headphones were the last straw tying me down to my computer desk, so I did a lot of research. I wanted to spend under $200, so it was between the Arctis 7’s, HyperX cloud flight, or Blackfin V2 Pro headsets. I would have thrown logitec gaming x wireless in the mix, but I found out about those after my purchase. Back to the story. I couldn’t find any Arctis7s in stock. Anywhere. Bestbuy! I held the cloud flight and wasn’t impressed. I held the blackfin v2 pro wireless and the build quality was terrible. I’m sure they sound good and the mic is decent, but they feel very cheap for $180 headphones. Back to the Arctis 7s that I couldn’t find... BB!!!! Okay, so I found out that HyperX made a updated version to their cloud flight headsets. The Cloud Flight S. For me, they fixed everything I didn’t like about the original cloud flights. No weird accent colors, no rgb(even though my CP is a RGB powerhouse), battery life, and sturdier build quality. They’re good headphones. I believe they’re worth the $150 I paid for them. Having to keep the app open to utilize the enhanced 7.1 settings is stupid. I didn’t buy them for the 7.1, but it works very well in WZ with the apps enhanced settings. Overall sound is good. It does lack on the treble side. Bass and midrange is good. It’s very easy to target footsteps. Zero latency issues. Again they’re good headphones. I could return them for some Arctis 7s or even the Logitec gaming x wireless, but I think I’ll roll with these. I’d like to thank BB for taking all of my money. It’s been a fun couple of months blowing my hard earned money at my local BB to have 143FPS in 1440p on WarZone. My wife games too, so that’s two identical RGB 3070 powerhouse machines. Obviously, more reviews to come....

been using this headset for a little while now and it has really grown on me. Its just got all the bells and whistles, not too many though. The sound is really good and spacious and clear. which is definitely what you want in a 7.1 surround headset. sounds are on point quite literally. the bass is pretty much just right. They are very very comfortable, even with my glasses on. leaving me a little left to desire outside what I now have. this is my first hyperx product. Very impressed what they managed to do here at this price point. Personally I cant wait to hear what they come up with next. Did i mention how awesome the qi is charger is?

Everything I like in a over the ear headset. Comfortable fit for long hour use. Easy, and customizable buttons on the earpieces. True wireless capability, which connects instantly when you turn them on. The speakers are very good. Nice mix of treble and bass. Not too high pitched, and not too boomy. The microphone sounds very good. You can pull out the boom mic, and choose to use the built-in microphones. (Which I have not used yet so I can’t provide a review. Overall, this headset is one of the best that I’ve ever owned (and I’ve owned a lot, from turtle beach, to astro, and many others). I thoroughly enjoy these. You cannot go wrong getting this headset.

My previous headphones were a pair of cloud 2's which were fantastic and these are even still an upgrade from them. The sound quality is the same or better than my cloud 2's, and the 7.1 surround sound being a button rather than than a separate piece is also super convenient. These are by far the most comfortable headphones i've owned, better than my cloud 2's and my razer ManO'War tournament editions. Feels light but tight in a good way with plenty of padding. Also really impressive is how long the battery is and the range. I can go all the way to my kitchen and still talk on discord. Overall very happy with them and would recommend for both gaming or just spotify/ youtube,

I picked these up about a week ago. Besides being a gamer, I'm a gym rat. At the gym, I generally use my Dre Beats 3 earbuds. So, that is pretty much what I can compare these to as I have never used a set like this during my gaming. PROS: *The sound quality is very good. I primarily play World of Tanks (which has a lot of music in it) and watch YouTube with these on. The sound quality is very robust (with 7.1 activated). * Great range. I have a small, old house (1,300sqft). I can go most anywhere including just outside the back door about 30 feet and several walls away and still have sound. * Great battery life. On top of that, you can charge and use them at the same time. They just become more like a wired headset at that point. * They are surprisingly comfortable. I always avoided headphones like these because I thought they would feel like putting my head in a vice. That is not the case. The cushion and material are soft and almost unnoticeable. * Pretty good at canceling out ambient noise. I live in a house with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a wife. A lot of times, especially when gaming, I can't here them. "Oh, did you tell me to do something? Sorry. I had my headset on. Didn't hear you." LOL * Mic quality sounds decent. Definitely an upgrade from the old mic I had been using. CONS: * There is a quiet, almost unnoticeable electric whine sometimes. I replaced my keyboard & mouse about 3 days after getting these and that's when I noticed it. It may just be a bad mix of equipment. And TBH I just put them on and didn't hear it. I generally only hear it when the house is silent and I have no noise coming through the system. I think most people would never even hear/notice it. * Bare mic. The mic is very sensitive and picked up my breathing. Just exhaling normally through my nose, it blew across and made me sound like an obscene caller in game. It really should come with a windscreen. I took the one off my old mic, just that cushiony black ball, but it on, and the sound quality is better. Those things are probably 3 cents to manufacture, so I hope HyperX will start adding them in the future. * The "buttons" on the side of the headset. They are small divets beneath a thin membrane. Sometimes it feels like I have to press deep into them to activate them. They are easy enough to find, but I worry about the longevity of the membrane. I think slightly raised buttons like the one to turn on the 7.1 would have been a better option. * No RGB. I never thought I would want RGB stuff until my Ryzen 7 came with an RGB cooler. Now, I like them. LOL * More on me tha HyperX. I kept reading Qi charging and saw video reviews of people using a Qi (wireless charger). I guess I didn't read the description well enough to realize the wireless Qi charger is sold separately. Then again, that goes with my earlier pro...can use and charge simultaneously...couldn't do that with qi. :) OVERALL: I am very pleased with this purchase and think it was worth the $140+tax price tag. Yeah, of course, I would have preferred a black Friday sale, but even at full price, they are a good deal. I keep them on 7.1. Although you can't get true surround sound from only 2 speakers, they do a good enough job in gaming that I can tell when explosions happen beside/behind me vs in front of me. Also, the non 7.1 almost sounds a bit flat. Definitely not as robust. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good wireless headset. The removable mic is also a nice touch.

    Best headset so far

I've owned the Logitech g533's and the corsair virtouso headsets. First off don't get the virtuoso, I returned those the day after I bought them. The hyper x cloud s headset is replacing the Logitech pair I have used for years, according to friends the mic would cut in and out. I bought the 533s when they were around 70 dollars and they are a pretty solid deal, sound quality slightly worse on the 533s than the hyperx. I bought the cloud s to have the surround sound option. The surround sound just boosts audio for the important frequencies that footsteps or similar sounds, it really doesn't sound the best but surroumd sound is functional. I have surround sound enabled through windows so I can keep the setting off, with the setting disabled the sound quality is much better. Its no bose/Sony headset, but no complaints on sound quality at all. Big cons potentially Many people report a low volume on the headset, which is true, but for me personally i would never listen at full volume, bearable but not for me. Other people report a white noise when no audio is being played, this does occur sometimes but not all that often for me. Its more of a situational thing than always on, I don't mind but maybe you will. Important Lastly the buttons don't work without having the software open, mic mute button works though, just the chat/game audio up or down. That's the other thing about this headset, I'm not sure if I accidently messed with a setting or if they came like this, but the headset in windows is recognized for two separate options, a chat option and a general option. If i have discord up if i lower the volume in windows/headset by the scroll wheel the chat volume will stay the same but everything else gets quieter. This is what the chat/game sound button adjusts, but for me I have to have the software open to work. This isn't a hugely negative thing, as I can set all my friends volumes to a spot and never have to worry about there volume, it allows me to adjust game volume very easily without having to pause a game. Besides using discord the general volume scroll wheel works for everything else. This is by far the most comfy headset I've had with the best sound quality. The battery life does last a while, i could go like 4 days of solid use on a single charge. The range is fair to above average range. I have not recieved any complaints about the mic. Biggest cons are volume capacity, sometimes white noise, and the gimmick i described.

This was a birthday present for my son, and he loves it! He said the sound quality is excellent and he loves being wireless. The headset fits well, and my son is able to wear it for as long as he wants without it becoming uncomfortable. It also seems to hold a good charge. The only down side is it's kind of pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend!

The HyperX Cloud Flight S wireless headset is hands-down one of the best headsets I have ever owned. It is very comfortable and easily adjustable if needed. It provides a lot of utility options on the headset itself, which makes it convenient to not have to tab out mid-game when needing to adjust something. I have always been hesitant about wireless headsets because of their battery lives, but this headset has a super long battery life and can easily be charged. The microphone quality is amazing as well. Overall, I am super impressed and happy with this headset and would highly recommend it to others.

Great bluetooth headset! I have HyperX for all of my products so buying in the ecosystem made sense. These can go pretty far, I'd say about a comfortable 20-25 yards away from the receiver, with my friends on Discord hearing me perfectly. The battery is incredible. If you wear it for about 4-5 hours per day, it should last you a full week. There are good automatic safeguards in place too, such as powering down after a period of no sound to save battery and easily configurable buttons with the HyperX NGenunity Software that you can download. They are full-on black, so don't expect to have anything RGB or colorful. If given the option I probably would have bought this same model if they had it in different color options. Hopefully, a new version comes out that makes it better, specifically hoping for USB-C support for the receiver, color options, and maybe even a better battery. Works PERFECT on Discord, PC, and PlayStation 5.

I purchased these near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic for gaming, but have since used them daily for both work-from-home meetings and gaming. I wear them 8-10 hours a day, sometimes more. These headphones are extremely comfortable, sound quality is awesome, and the battery lasts forever. The wireless works great; I can go across my house to grab something without skipping a beat. The red LED mic mute light and active listening (you can hear your own voice feedback slightly, if you wish) are both awesome features for work meetings or party chat. I charge them with a cheap Qi wireless charger on my desk and have never even had to plug them in. Only complaint: The software. NGENUITY flat out does not work. However, the headphones work great for me as-is, so it's not a deal breaker.

This pair of headset makes for a great mid-range option at it's price point. The microphone quality is surprisingly good, and the sound quality is pretty much on par with any other gaming headset around. The earpads are replaceable which is a fantastic feature (I highly recommend ZMF, Dekoni or Brainwavz earpad replacements). The wireless range is great (~40 feet or so), the battery life is also great. Overall really comfortable and nice for the price. The small four configurable buttons on the side are also convenient. The one large downside is that the HyperX Ngenuity Windows Store App used to control them via software is horrendously bad.
