Works great with both requirements. Only thing I miss is it charges in the vertical position and not the horizontal position. Love the gradual increase of alarm!

Slightly confusing for initial setup, and it would be nice if the various alarm tones could be tested (instead, I had to set the alarm for the next minute to check it out). But once everything was set up, it's working great.

Not sure if it was something I did, but the one time i tried to use the alarm it didn't go off. I do love the fact that I finally have a clock in my room and I use the bluetooth speaker daily.
