Very impressive! For those that want/need a little more space, this is it. But in fact, you will get a lot more space. Bought for my basement to stock up on corned beef sales during March when they are a fraction of the original price. This 3.5 chest freezer holds 14 corned beef briskets, a whole ham (cut into dinner portions of course) two steaks, 6 lbs. of ground beef, 2 pork loin roasts, an included basket which holds a lot, and a 4 quart lidded bin of smaller items. It is totally silent when running and in 5 months has gathered no frost. The leveling legs were an added bonus, and the illuminated (ON) light is perfect for just a glance. I did move this freezer myself as one person can pick it up. And it fit on its side in the backseat of a 4 door sedan. I just left it sitting upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. "That's very important". Sticker says $23 yearly, but I've noticed no change to electric bill. It's compact size fits just about anywhere. But don't be deceived by the outside. It holds a LOT! I absolutely love this freezer and wish I had bought it a few years ago. I did not buy the optional warranty from Best Buy. Instead I paid with a credit card which protects appliances from fault for an additional 3 year period. So check your credit cards to see if you have this protection built in. I used a Capital One card.

It has been six months since we purchased this little guy and we are still just as pleased with it as the day we picked it up. We live in a poorly designed efficiency apartment with a kitchen space that is only large enough to accommodate a college size refrigerator. When you enjoy cooking and batch preparation, that simply won't do. I've always wanted a chest freezer but we don't have space to accommodate the larger models. Most freezers sold out at the begging of 2020 so it took ages for this guy to come back I'm stock. The minute we saw it we pounced. Its compact size makes it pricier than larger models, but so far the performance has justified the expense. We keep it just above mild as we've found that to be the ideal temperature to prevent freezer burn. It's whisper quite which is a bonus considering it's about six feet from where we sleep. As with all chest freezers the only drawback would be depth. I have t-rex arms so I've had to use the long tongs to grab stuff at the bottom. That is until my partner started storing things in handle bags for easy access. But I can't really blame the freezer for my genetic shortcomings.

This freezer is the absolute perfect size for my husband and I and our dog. Now we can stockpile chicken for our dog (and us lol) plus other items without clogging up space in our regular freezer. We have it set on the medium temp in the middle (the dial arrow is pointing straight up to the ceiling) and it keeps everything perfectly frozen. It's very reasonably priced too. Had to stick a piece of cardboard under one of the feet to mk it level but that's not an issue. We picked it up curbside at the store and it was an easy breezy experience. It fit in the back of my Jeep Renegade w/ no problem, just had to lay the seats down Since we had to lay the freezer on it's side to get it home, Best Buy told us not to plug it in for at least 24 hours. it has something to do with the refrigerant and it could mess things up or something. So we followed instructions and waited until the next day to plug it in. I put some ice trays in to test out it’s freezing abilities. Those ice cubes were frozen in a matter of a few hours! We were very impressed and continue to be impressed with the performance. Highly recommend this freezer. Btw in case u didn't know, this is Best Buys brand Insignia.

We’ve always had a deep freezer even before This pandemic. Our last freezer was 3 of these put together and we would have food for 2 months. Since we’ve move to smaller place we bough this one for $158.99. I was shock how much it could hold for a family of 5. We go to Costco once a month, we are able to store it all, we do our grocery run once a month and only buy Fresh fruit in and veggies Has needed at our grocery store. This little freezer has been stuffed like a sausage and it still keeps everything frozen. We also have a vacuum Sealer we buy meat in bulk and vacuum seal it. A little tip Costco has a tube of 10lb ground beef, it’s not display or advertised just ask in the meat department for it, with meat limitation to 3 that has help feed us for the month.

Bought this freezer for my apartment and it fit perfectly in the corner of my dining room. We are a family of 4 and it suites us well. We have put a lot of food in it and there is still plenty of space for more. We love it. We keep it in the medium setting and everything stays frozen. It is very quiet.

Been wanting a deep freezer and when this became available I had to jump on it. I live in an a small apartment so space isn't what I have much of so when I tell you it fits perfectly in my dining room it's the truth. It's not big in size but it holds enough for a family of 3 and it's quiet. I was able to fit it in the back seat of my Ford Fusion. I would definitely buy again.

I've had the Insignia Deep Fridge for about 2 years now, and it's been a great addition to my home. The storage capacity is impressive, allowing me to store a large amount of food and beverages without any issues. It's been very handy, especially for stocking up on frozen goods. The performance has been consistently good, maintaining the right temperature to keep everything fresh. I haven't encountered any significant problems with it, which speaks to its reliability and durability. The design is also quite sleek and fits well in my space. Overall, I highly recommend the Insignia Deep Fridge for anyone in need of a dependable and spacious freezer.

Never did I think of looking to Best Buy to purchase a chest freezer. I was comparison shopping and reading the reviews and noted that several freezers were damaged in-transit from different companies. I happened across a Best Buy ad and checked it out. I am so pleased that I did. I liked the fact that I could ship it to their store and that it would be an easy fix to return it locally and let them deal with shipping, if necessary. I also like that Insignia is Best Buys brand and finally, the freezer is everything it's advertised to be, quiet, well-built, compact, and roomy! It is the best purchase I've made all year!!!

We picked this up at year end on sale, for long term storage. With the temperature set at 2/3 cold, it's running consistently at about -6F per a thermometer in the top basket. Very quiet operation, low electricity cost. We do keep it full, initially used some 1 gallon water jugs filled about 80% to take up spare space, though quickly replaced those with food. These freezers are most efficient when loaded. It's in our basement, on a tier of blocks, to make it easier to defrost whenever it's time (there's a drain port at the bottom left of the front panel). Negligible icing so far.

The compact size is perfect for a small space and the price, are this chest freezer’s best features. It holds a lot and keeps it frozen. On the down side, it has a faint high pitched “whistle” when it runs that could be an issue if you are sensitive to sounds. The biggest negative issue is that it does not have automatic defrost: after 1 month of use (opening about once her week) it already has ice forming on the sides (see pic below). That will probably become an issue later and would bump it cuan to a 3 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ rating for people who can afford the extra price of one with auto defrost. If you plan on opening this freezer more often you really should go for the automatic defrost as that will get worse.

I was surprised by the name. I didn’t know Insignia even made a freezer, but it’s good little freezer. I like it a lot so far. Came home from work one day with a huge amount of groceries at my front door that I didn’t order. Store wouldn’t take the order back, so I ran out and bought this little freezer and saved a bunch of perishables. Daughter ended up donating some to a needy family, but this was the perfect size for this little emergency. The sales man was very helpful in getting it for me and another associate helped me put it in my car. Had to load it on it’s side, so the associated advised to keep it in an upright position for 24 hrs before using it. Good advice. Works great! Thanks!

Purchase this for my daughter to have in her apartment. The sizing was perfect it didn’t take up much room and it accommodated all the things that she needed to freeze due to her refrigerator freezer was small. She, my daughter was shocked by the size and how much it can hold. Two, it was just me and her carrying it from the car to the elevator, from the elevator in to her place. Overall great purchase.

I’m a bachelor and never thought I would need a freezer, and having a refrigerator with a freezer I often didn’t have enough room to store tv. dinners or ice cream. Not even did I have room to store left overs or buy in bulk to split the extra groceries I would buy. Therefore since the virus out break I bought this Signa freezer and I have went from $350 a week in groceries to about $75.00. a week in groceries. I waited a week to see how the freezer performed with putting ice cream and water in it. It worked like it said it supposed too. I buy something’s in bulk chicken wings frozen pot pies, pizza etc. I keep my leftovers ice cream deals in it. My refrigerator freezer I bought a food saver sealer and freeze the vegetables to store those type of items in it. It is a quality freezer thanks Best Buy.

Performs as would a typical chest freezer. Includes the basket. Compact, which is what I needed. Provided extra storage to stock up for a small family of 3. Indicator light alerts that freezer is off - came in handy during recent power outage. Budget friendly both in cost and addition to utility bill. Only observation thus far that might be considered derogatory is that the Insignia lettering peels off. Wasn’t expecting that.

I've had this over a month and use it to freeze fruits and veggies grown in the yard: apples, berries, tomatoes, celery...I put it on a board and flatbed furniture mover keeping the bottom cardboard from the shipping carton as a barrier between the board. This does not affect the airflow. I have a thermometer in the freezer to monitor air temperature in hot weather (85+) - does not seem to negatively impact the freezer. Its in the garage and keeps my side by side freezer inside the house organized not stuffed with food that's hard to see. Since it was placed horizontally in my car at pickup I let it stand upright for over a day before plugging it in to make sure refrigerant is settled in. The freezer has a very small film of frost but I don't see the need to defrost this more than 1-2 times a year. We'll see. The size is perfect for external food storage, I did some research and depending on the volume of food 3.5 Cu Ft should hold about 80-120 lbs of food.

I'd been planning to buy a deep freezer for a while. I didn't want anything too big or that would take up too much space. This freezer was the perfect fit. I have enough space to store the perfect amount of meats and frozen items without being bulky and taking up more space than I wanted it to. I have it sitting behind my bar in the basement. It's perfect and I love it! Definitely recommend and the price was very reasonable.

I wanted a chest freezer for the longest and finally found one during this “Covid-19 pandemic.” I was searching high and low for DAYS for a restock on them. A few finally became available two hours away from me in my neighbor state. I saw a review saying how someone was able to fit it in their smaller sedan (Jetta VW, I use to own one) so I knew then that it would most definitely be able to fit in my Honda Accord. The sales guy and my brother was able to slide it right in the backseat of my car without any problems (with it still in the box.) I also saw found the weight of it to be 57lbs. My brother was able to carry it without any problems to my upstair apartment. The Salesman told me to let it sit upright without plugging it in for twice the amount of time that it was on its side (Waited four hours to plug her in.) It fit perfectly in my apartment and took a couple of hours to get cold. It is small yet very large for my four person household.

My refrigerator was not working so I needed something to store the meat. I didn't have the funds to buy a whole new refrigerator so I got this freezer. I had to go to another city a mile away since they did not have it where I lived. I suggest opening the box with scissors and check for dents before you leave the store. The young lady at the store said many are coming in with dents. I let the freezer sit for 24 hours per the recommendation of the directions. I wiped the inside down before turning on. I turned it on the medium and moved all the food after another 24hrs just to be safe. It was easy for me to lift being 50lbs. I lifted it myself out the car. My only issue with such a small kitchen is knowing where to put it. There needs to be an option to buy more of the wire baskets. I could see organizing based on meat type with that. I guess I will have to go to the organizing store.
