Things in full HD look so good they are almost too real looking. The picture is amazing. The sound is just ok. If you have surround sound this would be a killer TV.

Got this TV on sale just after Christmas, have had it for three months now with no issues. Coming straight out of the box I needed to play around with the settings to get it to look the way I wanted it to - unfortunately this is not a model that you can find calibration settings for on the internet. For the most part I leave the 120HZ turned off, it just makes things blurry if you ask me.
Really love the theater mode, first TV I've ever owned that it's actually worth it to make the switch when watching a movie.
The sound is ok - nothing special but as with most flat screens you will have to buy surround sound if you want good sound. I have no problems with it.
Not a ton of features (no internet, 3d, etc.) - but if you are like me and the two most important things are getting an LED and a big screen then it's well worth the price.

I have spent time in front of may different TVs and this one from Insignia is excellent for the price. I could have spent much more for a similar TV from LG or Samsung and you can't really tell the difference once the picture settings are the set the same. Buy Insignia and save your cash!

55' TV for under $1000

As the product indicates it is a 55' LED TV for under $1000, this TV has preformed beyond my expectations from picture quality to sound output for such a thin TV, granted it has only been a month and i cant speak about the longevity of the product or dealing with such issues, thus far it has been great. (Used for gaming, cable, and as a computer monitor.)

Great Television But Buy Sound Bar

This TV replaced a old 34" square television. I thought my living room would be to small for a large TV, but I'm glad I went with the size I did. The TV is very thin and hugs the wall. I've seen other family members with large flat screens but the images were really bad if not watching HD programming. When I bought the TV a month ago I had planned on getting HD programming later, but I am impressed with the analog picture. The viewing angle is great. We can watch tv from our kitchen now.

This is my first lcd/led tv. I bought this to replace a 51" Toshiba rear projection that was 8 years old. I was going to buy the 55" Toshiba for $749, but the Insignia at $899 looked better in the store. Having a hard time getting over motion blur, dont know if Im not used to it or if its really that bad. Motion blur noticed on sitcoms, mostly with moving hands. Notice some pixelation at times. Sports have no problems with blur, actually look pretty good. The colors are very good and animated movies look incredible.

Purchased this LED TV two weeks ago. Wal mounted it with a tilt only wall mount and connected a Panasonic sound bar with wireless woofer. Also connected a Blu-Ray player with wireless for Netflix watching. Overall, this TV has a good quality picture for a great price and warranty.

Simply put the very best LED TV value out there. Size, picture, & cost, nothing can touch it across the board. I looked EVERYWHERE else, & this is IT!!!! ,.............. PERIOD!
Streaming video from my MacBook Pro you couldn't tell the difference from a real time broadcast. This is a hard combo to beat! Super!

After making a few adjustments to the picture, I am very impressed with this tv. The picture is very clear, and I do not notice any shadows or blurring on my screen. The sound is just ok, but comparable to many of the current styles out. Overall it is a great TV for the $$$.

Very disappointed in picture quality. Green hues that cannot be adjusted out. It's worst on black people and blonde hair. I cannot watch anything without stopping over and over to try to adjust color. Three weeks with multiple video sources I have tryed to fix this to no avail. Also this is not an LED display. It has LED backlighting, but is in fact an LCD display. They don't say anyting about that on the web page. I found out after the TV arrived and saw it on the box. I am going to try to return it.

Horrible motion blur.

It's not a "bad" tv. But, for $900 it's what you get, a mediocre TV with pretty bad motion blur and frame stuttering. The picture is great for scenes without a lot of movement, get some movement on it and you start seeing blur and even some stuttering. Funny thing too, was it wouldn't recognize my Directv 1080i output. Even with that being the only option checked on the satellite box. For the first week it defaulted to 720p or 480p on some occasions. Had to factory reset the TV 4 times before it started showing as 1080i from the satellite. The blu-ray was just fine showed 1080p straight away.
Not a bad TV for someone that doesn't mind blur, it was just too noticeable for my liking.
