As an extra safety precaution I'd recommend having someone help you remove the set from the box, but you can do it yourself if you have long enough reach. Assembly is minimal, Menu set up features are clear and easy to follow. Picture quality is awesome If you're transition from an analog TV this is an excellent choice.

I've purchased several of these 55" Insignia TVs for my business. Its a very good price for a TV that size + you get 1080p! We use them for video conferencing, and to share laptop screen during conference meetings. PLUS, I have to say we really like the remote that comes with the TV. The design was well thought out and makes changing inputs easy. Highly recommend this TV set, 5 stars in my honest opinion.

So I needed to purchase two new TV's for my two youngest boys (there older TV's crapped out during COVID-19). To make things better, nothing was opened here in MA because of the Governor's orders. So off I went online looking for full HD TV's for them, reading reviews after reviews after reviews.... I purchased each TV for $299.99 and I thought that was a great price for a 55 inch unit. I didn't need to get a smart TV because they have ROKU for YouTube and other streaming services. Out of the box the TV's best mode is Movie, but I ended up customizing it to my own likes. Each set with the same settings were slightly off after my own calibration, but nothing really that makes me say wow. Xfinity X1 in 1080P programming (as well as 720P) looks really good on this TV. Streaming services such as YouTube, Disney Plus and HULU also look good. I really wish this TV had 4 HDMI inputs rather than the 3, but again not a deal breaker. So for each of my boys, one input is for Xfinity, one input for PS4 (XBOX for the other) and the 3rd input for a ROKU stick. I don't know who Best Buy used to manufacturer this particular model, but kudos for an amazing full HD set for the price. If you can get one, I would recommend it.

We had to replace our $1,050, 13 yr old, 42" Samsung plasma TV. It still worked but the main board was failing. Sometimes it would take a few on and offs to work. This TV, so far, is working wonderfully!! Setting up was easy and so was following the on-screen setup. The sound and colors are is fantastic and the picture is crystal clear and sharp. Thank you for making "Dumb" TV's, I did not want a Smart/4k TV! And lets not forget it's great price!! The only thing they should change...need to change, are the legs. They need to allow them to slid to the outside or to the inside, not every has a 50 inch area to place them on, nor a wall to hang it on, or give it a main/center pedestal. Maybe give people the option of legs or a center pedestal. Would I recommend this, yes, without hesitation!

I am happy with this TV I know it's not 4K or 8K and it's not a smart TV. but the picture is nice and it's not very heavy to lift up the steps or put up on the TV stand. It is a quite thin TV but one thing I learned was that an Amazon fire stick 4K will not fit in the space for the HDMI hookup you need a normal firestick

This is a great TV for the price. The picture and sound are excellent. 3 HDMI inputs are enough for us. Set up was easy, as we were watching in less than 30 minutes out of the box. This our 2nd Insignia TV and we are very happy with both.

Although it isn't a smart TV which I don't need in my living because we have a cable subscription, I'm still giving it a 5 star. The color are vibrant, the sound is clear, and it looks bigger than a 55". I owned an Insignia air fryer and it's been 2 years now so I hope that this one will last too.

I just needed a 55" TV because it's the perfect size for the space. One issue with it there was a pixel out. So I swapped it out for another 55" TV and it works great! No big deal sh@# happens. The nice thing is I also bought a 42" same brand so both my remote controllers work on either TV!

We came across this tv and saved some money because it was on super sale due to it being the floor model. It was wrapped up nicely when we picked it up and easy to set. The picture is nice quality and we like that the remote control is simple and straight forward.

3rd Insignia TV I get from Best buy and like it just as much as the other two ! I wanted to go for the 50inch non smart Insignia but I notice for $25 dollars more I can get the 55inch so I did ! Im the budget oriented person; while the iPhone11 is out I have the 6s, while 8K is the latest and 4K is the norm I buy an LED. If your always chasing the latest and greatest you're always be living check by check. I may have a 6s and an LED tv but living worry free and enjoying life. Connected a firestick to it and now I can enjoy my Youtube videos in clear 1080p with no complaints. Thank you Insignia and BestBuy.

TV picture quality is good and set up was easy. I didn't need a smart TV since my box has the apps I use installed. So this was a good replacement, price and overall quality wise. The only issue I've run into is occasionally the sound goes out of sync. It can be annoying to stop and resolve when that happens.

I had an Insignia 55" LCD HDTV for over 10 years with flawless service, but like all good things there must be an end. Our new Insignia 55" LED HDTV is picture perfect. The price was very good and the delivery was better than expected due to all the COVID -19 restrictions.I guess the most difficult thing I had to do was open the box.Hook-up was very simple and in little time we were back in business with a beautiful new TV.I have been happy with several Insignia products and I will continue to purchase.

This TV has been a huge happy surprise. Unbelievable price for what you get. No, it's not a "smart" TV but that's what I wanted. Why? Because I had read too many reviews from smart TV owners complaining about unwanted buggy updates coming from manufacturers, unwanted ads, monitoring of their viewing habits. This TV has none of that. I just wanted a great picture and no hassle. Bingo! It took me two minutes to get a beautiful picture with a few easy adjustments. The sound is not great, but I have the TV hooked up to my stereo. Side viewing angles and the picture fades just like $2000 sets. Now, if this TV lasts, I will count it as one of my smartest purchases ever. I'm tempted to buy another before this tried and true technology is gone forever.

TV is primarily used by an older relative who doesn’t need a Smart TV and watches majority SD cable and DVDs, so UHD 4K also not needed. Wanted as much screen for the money in a 1080p format, with decent picture quality. Turns out there isn’t much to choose from in HD any more; there were only 2-3 to compare. Hisense 42” for $179 and an open box Toshiba that was beat up. Salesman said Insignia is made for Best Buy, and though I didn’t have an outside review to go on it fit the bill at $250 ($80 markdown). TV setup easily and happy with it so far. Of course BestBuy put their Insignia 55” UHD Smart TV on sale for same price a week later, but again we don’t need the features and complexities in this case.
