Ordered this cable, because online it shows a free movie download with purchase. But i did not get free movie download. I contact company directly and they say no more free movie promotion. But online on bestbuy it still shows the deal. I didnot get what i bought this cable for.

Not the cable needed to install a Dell monitor to a Dell computer. Be careful with DVI/HDMI/whatever connectors. Some older Dell monitors don't have the newest inputs.

I was using it to connect my monitor to my laptop but the cable kept disconnecting so it was very difficult to work.

Just plain works. I like the smaller connectors. There's not a lot of room in the back and it makes it easier to install than bigger ones. Get the longer one. Life changes and it's only a couple of bucks more.

However, let me remind you that if you purchased this product after 10/30/2016 you have an extended return period good until 1/15/2017 that you can validate at any Best Buy store with your receipt or order number.
